    How many guns is to many?

    You can have so many weapons as you wish if they do not repeat itself in functionality completely. Well i mean that having like an Assault Rifle and a Chaingun is fine because AR is a machinegun with a single repetition barrel and Chaingun generally does more damage and also functions with spinning barrels for faster fire rate. My mod currently have like 15 weapons, the only one which i can say it is redundant is Heavy Machine Gun with Machine Gun which is really meant to one replace the other after it picking it up, all other guns may have similar functionality like Shotgun and Nailgun, but one shots pellets and they travels very fast plus the addition of extra-damage for firing at pointblank and the other shots Nine Inch Nails that travels slowly with highter damage but with wider spread and no addition of pointblank damage, the mod featured more redundant weapons in the past and i removed them exactly because of this problem, Trakion Cannon also had a rework right after the release it first appeared due to function as an weaker BFG10k.

    OpenGL Lighting Preference

    I always use Dark because being the darkest preset i can know where i should tone up the sector lighting when mapping that way who also plays in Dark doesnt need to crank up gamma or switch light modes while the people who plays in the other options will see these room a bit brighter, but it's better leave bright as small issue than pure black.

    Which all tracks from the soundtrack is your favourite?

    Well you may be referring to the fact that Mick had to break the songs into a fuckton set of small melodies to fit into the game's music logic, BFG Division is the only one that is mostly continous so that is why it is the most loved too, in exception of the ambient melodies, the light action (buildup) melodies of the songs is too repetitive and then in the heavy action they are too random, so probably the problem lies in the subtle harmony change.

    Why are slaughter maps looked down upon?

    The Slaughterwad type is really a overlooked type of wad, and probably after Plutonia "Go 2 It", many mappers generalized it as "throw everything the game have at once in the player to see how he reacts". I don't see it that way, despite we have many wads that does that and only that which ascended in fame like Coopbuild, Chillax and Drown In Blood, the fame of those wads ended by damaging the scene of slaughterwads, making people think those maps are more to play with cheats or overpowered gameplay mods like Russian Overkill than vanilla gameplay (Coopbuild itself was a perfect marriage for supergun2 and was so much hosted in ZDaemon servers as Complex Doom is in Zandronum now). But in the other hand, there's Hell Revealed 2 that probably was the first of its kind that managed to make a great execution of this which later was followed by Sunder, Speed of Doom, Dark Tartarus, Invasion UAC, Zones of Fear, etc...

    @cyan0s1s id Tech 3 is more colorful though, but i can say i reached very near to it, specially now that the shaders it supports made me able to make Railgun and Plasma Gun keep their energy effects.

    My gripe my very first project is it being a first project, you know, the first thing you do in a new hobbie rarely goes good, music, art, modelling, mapping, anything of the kind, practice takes time, and in my case there i was pushing the thing too much, to only notice i was wasting my time few years later. But now hey, 4 more years and Hunter's Moon will complete 10 years of development, lol.

    Well then, beyond those i already mentioned: original Doom Reinforced (my ultimate crap, first wad, ambitious and out of experience, nothing good was made in it with exception of specific maps) Doom Reinforced CTF (i think this is my second weirdest thing ever done) Doom Reinforced Core (reboot attempt, gameplay was good in frenzy terms and chaotic as well but i decided in not remake anything of Doom Reinforced anymore) Hunter's Moon (my actual long run project, still in progress and probably will stay like that for the next few years) I thinking about making a list of this stuff in the "About Me" section in profile as well, seems good to make it as a hub for everything a person has ever contributed to the community.

    Well if not counting TCs or gameplay mods then this is all i have: UAC Vinur Prime Research Base Industron CTF Akzos City Doom Reinforced Mapset So far only UACVPRB was properly released and not being an adaptation/unfinished project.

    I dropped my very first project due to the mess it was because the evolution i had in modding/mapping for Doom. Doom Reinforced had some of its maps pretty nice in the last iteration, though all the rest of the mod's content was a total mess, monsters from so many places, you literally could fight Octabrains from Duke Nukem in a room and suddently in the next fight you meet Half Life zombies, pick up the key and a trap with axe zombies from Blood could happen, between them you can also find a Weredragon from Heretic, well probably because you was using Corvus' crossbow for that encounter, but don't worry you can switch to Doom 3 shotgun at any time and if that gun runs out of ammo, you still have your Quake 3 railgun, all this surrounded by new decorations in 3D models while the internal ones was still sprites.

    @Ed doesn't know what you are talking about :P Anyway i also drag myself when stacking lots of 3D floors, but i do if that is necessary to make the room look good, making the entire map lit by dynlights is also a slow process.

    I think only @Graf Zahl is allowed to say what "Technically" is 3D and what isn't in GZDoom.

    Is armor pointless?

    What does the armor do that Health don't? From the raw way you put it, nothing for sure, it's just a second health bar which you can fill separately from the main health and it is there to save your ass from hard direct hits like a rocket in your face, because with 400 hit points you can withstand in the middle of a slaughterfest for a couple of seconds.

    Damn son... i was pretty bad before 2012 when i started to map for Hunter's Moon and decided to drop Doom Reinforced.

      To be honest, I like the 2011 screenshots the most just because they don't have special effects overuse and they just feel like a legit Doom UAC base. The newest screenshots aren't bad at all and I really dig those digital lines and the black-white contrast, but I still prefer 2011 due to its simplicity, yet amazing feel.

      Yeah i also agree that 2011 is not all that bad but in terms of being a mapper with own style of mapping i can say that pretty much any skilled mapper can do that since i was using KDiZD as reference for detailing and for me in the age, the 3D models there helped in decorating even more the environment but today i look at it and i see gameplay clutter instead, Industron today is what make me being myself as mapper.

    What is your highest score in Quake 3 Arena?

    Also Quake Live rebalances certain weapons in an attempt to get rid of campers and people of the kind, whenever i play it, i always think that Railgun will finish some dude for me, but nope it does 80 damage instead, the ammo nerfing was necessary in the weapons but the damage i dunno, that's not the way to get rid of the problem with campers.

    Xaero was really hard for Nightmare skill specially counting in how you fight him due to the map. But hey guys lemme remind of a thing, i dunno if any of you here played the expasion Team Arena, but Xaero became pretty pussy near the bots which came in TA, Ursula and Khan were total bitches in Hardcore already, in Nightmare they uses the same liar patterns as Unreal Tournament 3 bots to stay "hard" like literally Railgunning you in MPTERRA2 from the other side of the lake by a tiny LoS between your hitbox and their view, they also do the annoying thing of instalocking Lightning on you and insta 180 turn with a Rocket/Shotgun/Nailgun in your face. Now as for score, i never finished the bot campaign tbh, i tried to play that in Quake 3 Revolution but since i noticed it was just a MK Tower Mode i gave up and jumped into MP directly when i got Q3A.

    Suggestions needed for a "force field" effect

    Well, if said monster is also made with a 3D model then i recommend you use a 3D sphere model or cylinder for the forcefield effect otherwise better build the effect under sprites because the Sprites + Models combo never work all that well if the solid object (the monster in case) is a sprite, the lacking of proper depth sense in it makes the 3D model out of place and vice-versa.
