Fun fact - it has actually been a feature in Odamex for many years, but it suffered from implementation issues. It's been improved now using a proper method for retrieving the files.

I saw boxslug! Truly the greatest game.

The MancuNET primary server has been replaced with a shiny new server with more redundancy and a gigabit pipeline. At the time of this writing there are a couple of sites, including WADS In Progress that are still reporting the older IP address, but that should complete propagating within 12 hours. All accounts should be the same as before. If you have any trouble logging in to your account or accessing a service, please send an email to fuzztooth@gmail.com to ensure it's received off-network (mail is not yet completely set up).

Bethesda Softworks UK has provided us the tiniest of teasers of their upcoming Doom (4? 2 Again?) gameplay reveal at this year's E3. As with any new game videos, I strongly recommend checking this out in Youtube's 60p mode. Even this 8 seconds is worth it. MancuNET's primary server located at 76.74.252.88 will be going down for a complete server rebuild (UPDATED)Tuesday, May 19th @ 5pm CDT. This will likely take at least four hours, if not longer. While backups are always advised, data should not be affected during this time. The hope is all user accounts will be preserved as well, so people should feel little difference once this is complete. This will primarily affect access to The Doom Wiki, Odamex, MancuNET /idgames mirror, and a few other locations. Sites such as DRD Team and The World Doom League will be unaffected. Check back here and in the comments for further updates.

For arachnotron, spider mastermind, and pain elemental, I recommend getting in touch with shaviro or gex of the Doom 3: Phobos project. They have some spot on models. You can see the arachnotron in a shot on moddb, but I cannot find any example of public media for the other 2 items (though I have seen them myself). They also created a double-barreled shotgun (seen here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/phobos/images/phobos-episode-2). At this time their mod is not yet released, but it is still actively developed.

This was one of the best older style map editors in my opinion before doom builder came along. It was definitely my choice in the late 90s.
