So it turns out that I got the proverbial shaft. Some of you may recall my previous blog post about asking for donations so I have the cash to pay for the recovery of my data files for a film I'm working on. Apparently a specific portion critical to recovery is so jacked up that any attempts to recover other parts result in nothing but "noise". However, there are two positives to come out of this: 1, the drive is still RMA-able, and while I probably will not do that anyway, it's nice to know it can be done, and 2, thanks to your generous donations I am able to feed the noxel/mancunet bill as well as get a new hard drive to start most of my work over again.
