    [GZDoom] Diabolus Ex v1.1

Just did two Ultra-Violence playthroughs with the 1.1 version of the WAD. Went for a UV-max for the first playthrough. While twenty newly added enemies aren't making the level much harder, given that they are low to mid-tier ones, at least you have some more things to spend all the ammo on. Plus, I'm under the impression that the level itself isn't supposed to be that much of a challenge to begin with. I do not get the placement of both the Megaspere, in the server room with the Archvile, and the Soulsphere in the secret room near it. If I went to the server room, then I got the Megaspere and killed the Archvile. If I killed the Archvile - I opened the secret room, which is literary across the corridor and impossible to miss, with the Soulsphere. Does the player really need that Soulsphere after they just grabbed the Megaspere? The second playthrough was a no secrets one. And since you do not get the SSG at the beginning of the level, and possibly not even a chaingun until later, unless you go for a crawl space after the first lift, it was noticeably more challenging. So in a final boss room I went for a manually killing the Mastermind, instead of using the kill switch, and was left with no ammo and two Barons. Killing those without a Berserk wasn't fun. I had 220 cells in my inventory, however. But no Plasma Gun.
  2. Epic by Eternal. Just love his mapsets in general: Hell Ground, Frozen Time, Epic 2 are all good, visually incredible, well-designed, fun WADs that do not spam you with mother flipping slaughter setups as some of the mentioned maps do (looking at you, Miasma).

    Doom for Raspberry pi

According to Raspberry Pi page on Doom Wiki, only a handful of source ports are supported. Some require to be compiled, others have limited support (like running in software mode only). It is important to note however, that I do not know how up to date this information is. Overall, I would second Wheresthebeef's suggestion about going for a cheaper PC. You can build a Ryzen 3 or G3250 PC for 500 bucks or less. Or go for a second-hand laptop.

    Something doesn't seem right...

Robots are smart, they said. Machines are gonna take over the world, they said.

Post Your Doom Picture (Part 2)

I don't know if it is just me, but it gives me some strong Valiant/Lunatic vibes. Which isn't a bad thing to begin with :)

    [GZDoom] Diabolus Ex v1.1

@Arvell Have you thought about making another thread for your level on ZDoom forums and, maybe, uploading it to idgames once all the planned updates are seen through? EDIT: Oops, just saw that you already posted it on ZDoom :)
  7. Diabolus Ex for its unique aesthetic, beautiful level design, custom texture and music packs.

    [GZDoom] Diabolus Ex v1.1

There was a Deus Doom episode released back 2015, that was using textures from the very first Deus Ex game, but it wasn't nearly as good as this.

    [GZDoom] Diabolus Ex v1.1

Just UV-Max'ed the level. Very pleasant experience. The wait was definitely worth it. Beautiful, not excessive, detailing, with custom texture pack alone, I'm guessing, was a lot of work. However, it was made easy by all the health and ammo that level throws at you. You can safely remove half of it without fracturing the experience.

Was following the WAD's development through your #screenshotsaturday postings on Twitter. Stoked to finally see it released!

Looking for an enemy variant mod

@HellVain Since they both work by replacing enemies, most likely they will not. I suggest trying Colourfull Hell. Turn off White, Black, Abyssal and Fireblu enemies in the menu and give it a whirl. If you want to play with Shades of Doom, do not turn on Chaos Mode as it makes it too much of a hectic experience.

MEMBRANE - Commercial Alien Shooter made in GZDoom

Obviously, this is not a scam. Personally, I do believe Raccoon's honest intentions. Unless building a mediocre FPS for eight people on a sum of 200 bucks can count as a scam. It's the question of OP's ability to deliver with no proof of previous work. Given the quality of provided demo with plain and blank level design, limp animations, and weak sound design one would be better spending their money on something like Dusk, Amid Evil or Ion Maiden. They cost pretty much the same, but actually come from the developers with prior experience, and even if they are not yet finished, they are already incredibly fun to play.
