  1. I Need very cool megawads to play.

  2. Looking for a solid,simple megawad.

Try Perdition's Gate, shortish solid levels that can be completed in 3-5 minutes each.
  3. Anything that tries to mimic every doom 2 map?

Project ReMap. It's WIP though, with only 4 maps completed so far. http://www.moddb.com/games/doom-ii/addons/doom-2-project-remap https://www.facebook.com/Doom2ProjectRemap/ Also Hell On The Earth Remastered. It's closer to vanilla Doom 2 maps than aforementioned Project ReMap, but definitely worth a look in my opinion. http://www.moddb.com/mods/honte-remastered And let us not forget about Knee-Deep In ZDoom (Yeah, I know it's Doom1, not Doom2, but it is awesome) http://realm667.com/index.php/en/component/content/article/104-projects/finished/255-knee-deep-in-zdoom-kdizd And Tormentor's remake of original E2M3 - The Refinery http://realm667.com/index.php/en/component/content/article/104-projects/finished/1460-the-refinery
  4. I had this idea that since The City of the Damned: Apocalypse and High Noon Drifter are kinda similar thematically, it would be cool to play through the former TC using the latter gameplay mod. However, and being illiterate at Doom modding, I found that creating a simple patch with replacing actors via RandomSpawner does not suffice. Not all of the weapons are properly replaced, you cannot select one weapon after picking up another, shotgun shells dropped by the Cultists do not count toward the shotgun ammo... Unfortunately, as I already said, my knowledge of Doom modding is more than quite limited, so any help or examples of how it can be done are greatly appreciated. So here's how I tried to accomplish this: :
  5. Innocence X

Despite what user ratings for this might suggest, this is a really solid Doom 64/PSX Doom reinterpretation with the vanilla-like (although being Doom in UDMF format) level design that is oozing in dark and oppressive atmosphere. Sure, you won't find anything new here if you've already gone through PSX Doom TC or Doom 64: Retribution. But what Innocence X does, it does well.
  6. The Deimos Incident

Incredibly good and imaginatively looking mapset, made using only stock Doom resources. Have you played "Warp House" by Ed Cripps? That's the closest comparison in its looks that I can come up with. There are no slopes though, so the mapset will not ruin the performance of your old PC. The difficulty is a bit higher than The Shores of Hell episode that this wad replaces, with combat mostly happening in semi-tight halls and corridors with your usual traps and ambushes that are although expected in this kind of environments but are never frustrating.
  7. ROP 2015: Finished!

Yes, I found this hidden wall panel. While one of two panels that cover this switch do lower, I couldn't find a way to lower the second one making the switch unaccessible. Thanks for clearing up that this can't be done. Extra cheers for a quick reply!
  8. ROP 2015: Finished!

Sorry for bumping this, but is there a way you can get to the secret at sector 520 on map E1M5 (Blistering Catacombs), or is this secret unreachable?
