I feel that Doom 2's maps were rushed. I can't believe that no one bothered to fix the clipped barrel in Map 02. Getting the Super Shotgun too early may have been another flaw. One level had a light amplification visor with barely any dark rooms to be seen (unless I may have passed them using the visor). Secrets that weren't really even secrets, such as one level having a wall with a switch clearly shown to you on the front of it that you press and...boom, secret revealed.
