    What are you listening to?

Pretty good, but I don't know, something feels off when it gets more epic, that notes are too high from my POV.

    The Doom Confessional Booth

Why? Isn't having the best of both worlds great? Though there are cases when it is a problem, specifically when the 2 don't mix well at all, and fail to capture whatever they're supposed to.

@KVELLER Checked the comments section and looks like you're right. And I very much doubt people remember that game only "for how good it looked".

Post your Doom video! [but don't quote video]

One of my better live performances :v .

What Video Game Are You Currently Playing?

Me neither. If performance wasn't the issue, compatibility certainly was. I had to use Win 7 on the toaster after the support for XP ended (performance was mostly fine on XP however), and the game performance was utter bullshit, the only games it could run decently were GoldSrc powered games and Quake, everything else had low FPS. That is, unless the maps featured fog and other effects such as smoke, which resulted in, like... 10fps? Just like I said it lagged on early 00s games as well, while I used XP it could run the original NFS Underground on high just fine. On 7? Not a chance, reflections would tank my performance in many areas and even when it was "fine" it never went higher than 40fps. Underground 2 suffered from bigger issues, I'd often run in various unloaded areas and would have to wait for the game to load them lol. I think the CPU was simply fried after years of usage. Even after the card it shipped with (GeForce 6200 Turbocache) died and I replaced it with a 210 as well as the 512MB RAM stick with a 2GB one the performance barely improved. That thing could simply not handle anything newer than Win XP. You don't want to know how poor the performance was in programs like Office or while browsing the web on Firefox (both Chrome and IE were a big no, but for different reasons). It couldn't even play videos decently in any player... 720p videos lagged and 1080p ones would barely play if at all, they'd often stop after a few minutes...

I hate these people as well. I've seen a couple of "reviews" in various places "criticizing" classics that are in fact terrible but are still held in high regard primarily due to nostalgia.

What Video Game Are You Currently Playing?

Perhaps a Pentium 4? I was stuck with one for a decade, and while it could RUN the game, it could never reach more than 30-40fps, on medium settings @ 1280x1024 (well, what, who goes as far as lowering all graphics detail and the resolution down to 800x600 in HL2? Source games look like cartoons on low). That thing lagged even in GZDoom while playing Doom 2 with all fancy stuff disabled lmao.

    What are you playing now?

I always keep mine set on default unless a wad requires otherwise. You're also using the test version if I'm not mistaken, I used 2.5.1.4, maybe the problem lies somewhere there. If not, well, I guess you must be unlucky in this case. Unfortunately, at least so far you're the only one facing this problem in 20x7 with PrBoom+ .

    What are you playing now?

Hm... what port were you using? Crispy? If yes, perhaps it's not compatible so it's breaking some levels?

Oh? What do you mean? It was fine when I made my run through 20x7.

What Video Game Are You Currently Playing?

Judging after what I've seen on the store, it's still plagued by the same notorious issues the original game supposedly was, so in this case it's probably for the best if you pirated it.

You have to revisit a lot of places that were not accessible earlier. Painful as it might be, unless you don't remember where you've been and where not, you'll have to recheck each area again. It's the only way I could find what switches I missed. I know that icy area with the torch in the middle, but don't remember what happens next either... This hub system is probably one of the things which sounded good on paper, but lacked or didn't work in practice at all. It would've been much better if you didn't have to constantly revisit almost all areas you've already been to once, or they shouldn't be so confusing, some switches are so well hidden you could spend centuries running in circles and still not find them. The way I deal with Hexen's BS now is simply watching what 42 did in my current areas/levels and follow him, I could read articles for all eternity but until I see what I need to do I won't make it. My last save is at the start of Hypostyle btw.

    What are you playing now?

Damn that level to oblivion, I've started my first playthrough of Hexen a few days ago and I literally wasted 2 hours in that level because of that Guardian of Steel crap, I missed 2 switches there somehow. I had watched @42PercentHealth's walkthrough on that area and couldn't figure out what I was missing until he said that "we've been to the Guardian of Steel before, but without the key" when I had a strange deja vu. Somehow, I missed a switch that was accessible without the key the first time around, and another one inside the area that becomes accessible after getting it. Finally, the last stairs outside the starting area had risen. Shame, I was planning on streaming Hexen as well, but since my progression risks becoming this slow it's a big no-no :( . Yet, frankly I don't blame the game, as I've said multiple times before my sense of direction is awful, which makes exploration an incredibly difficult and slow task for me.

Doom wads that are actually fun to play.

Hm... dunno if this meets your requirements for sure, but I'd recommend Stardate 20x6 and Unholy Realms, found both of them fun and of medium difficulty. Also this.

[WIP] Eviternity - A Boom Format Megawad

So this is where all these awesome maps went. Well well, I'm definitely going to play this (likely stream, if I won't be playing something else at that time). Too bad it's not coming out til December but at least there's something to look forward to.
