He was a great man, I like to call him the Walt Disney of my generation. This was one of those days I knew would eventually come, and now here we are and I could really use a hug.

Facebook is the scourge of the earth. Been facebook free for a year now, and it also seems that nobody missed me either.

Well, the quick answer would just be Manic Street Preachers since one of their albums is my avatar here. But no, I can't just choose one band and blindly call them my favorite band. I don't think anyone could be that thick to only have one favorite band.. If you're really that interested, or just trying to make conversation, here's a handy list of my "favorite bands": Stereolab Placebo (since I have a massive crush on Brian Molko) Pixies Guerilla Toss XTC Sonic Youth Brian Jonestown Massacre Big Black Lightning Bolt (or any Brian Chippendale project, really) Broadcast HEALTH Melt-Banana Crystal Stilts Bad Brains Pavement (or any Stephen Malkmus project, really) The Go! Team M.I.A. The Feelies Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers Ladytron Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds TFUL282 (as if you know who they are) The Soft Boys Screaming Females Nots tricot That one album by The Horrors (you know the one) 90's Bowie Fugazi Wilco I could just keep going, but since you only asked for my "favorite band", as if I was going to answer "The Monkees", I'd better stop.

"Doom Add-On Levels" A compilation floppy disc of WAD's I found in my dads attic
masterplumber replied to reveilleun's topic in Doom General
Yeah, I also thought that "an obscure compilation floppy disc of WAD's I found in my dads attic" sounded a little bit off. It's almost creepypasta material. -
What plans are there for Doom's 25th Anniversary?

I was planning on getting wasted on the weekend. -

I called map08 "Trick or Treat" until about last year, when someone corrected me.

This guy does cool stuff in the vein of Doom II, this is his/her bandcamp: https://dialupformurder.bandcamp.com/ But if you're looking for stuff that's not quite so Doom-ish then here:

He was the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for the Kinks. I'm only kidding, of course; but I also want to know who this Ray Davis is.

Could this work if, let's say, Doomguy is a lawyer, and the jury is all made of Imps, and you have to set up a defense, and the judge is an Arch-vile?
-
He kinda looks like Mickey Mouse.

Which all tracks from the soundtrack is your favourite?
masterplumber replied to MTF Sergeant's topic in Doom 2016
I see a lot of love for BFG Division, and it's too one of my favorites, but this little piece that plays during the lift ride up to VEGA is one of the most ominous things I've heard. For me it stands out from the rest of the soundtrack. -
I've been giving Futurama a rewatch and I'm watching The Shield for the first time. Both are good.

I've been reading that he was born on Galileo's deathday and died on Einstein's birthday. Very fitting for an astrophysicist. This is one of the deaths that shook me up to my knees. Truly a great mind and will be deeply missed.

I turned 26 last January. NOT joking either.

I guess that you could say that this was an Anomaly on Deimos Anomaly. I'll be here all week, folks.

I imagine he's talking about spitting phlegm. I can't do it either.
-
It could be since it's an egyptian themed FPS and the cover of the album has some pharaoh or something.

Yes, but he came back as a robot because science.

This one's pretty much impossible to do. Don't give up now! I learned almost by accident when I was distracted in class.

Found an article on Waypoint about A.L.T. and I thought I'd share it with you.

It's from January, and I don't know if it has been posted here, but it has an interesting build up. It made me think of the potential Doom modding has for artistic self-expression. I'm not an artist, at least not in a conventional way, but mediums tend to change every once in a while and digital art is always evolving. What do you guys think? https://waypoint.vice.com/en_us/article/paq5bz/alt-doom-mod-stalker -
