https://twitter.com/joel_vinesauce/status/1082823172133715968 List of the remaining maps was posted on Twitter. Mine's not on it though, and I have suspicions that I was disqualified but I have no idea why. :T

A lot of quality maps tonight! Even though the wait for my map being played is killing me, I'm still enjoying shooting the shit with everyone else in the chat. :D

Also, when my map is finished, I'd appreciate any criticism or comments. Even if I don't win this year, I'd still like to hone my skills to have a better shot for next time.

Screenshot time! I also went with a castle, but really wanted to try my hand with scripting and make my map more event-based rather than a classic Doom-style level. This is literally the second map I've ever made for this game, so there's gonna be quite a few mistakes. I don't think I'm gonna win, but I'm still proud with what I came up with. Screens are from the first 5-10 minutes of gameplay.

Yeah, by that I mean I didn't want to make anything that was too hard to think about or with too much back tracking/puzzle solving, because given the fact that it's meant to be streamed I need it to have a decent sense of flow and progression. Anything that breaks that is bound to knock points off of it. I was directly inspired by the Blood Room from last time to avoid this thing from happening.

This contest is going to be the first I enter and with the second map I've ever made for the game. I'm a little worried that the length might be a problem though, but I've made an effort to keep the level interesting throughout its course (changing music, autosaves, different tasks to do, and tbh somewhat linear?). Is it weird to design a map specifically around the limitations of the person playing it?
