Oh, well is not the end of the world, i just dont like the look of OpenGL in pixel games but is not a big deal. If you do find that mod let me know please Regarding Doom 64, i dont have access to a computer anymore but i will see if i can do it from my cellphone if a patcher is all it needs. I will check that and the PSX Doom thing and come back here, thanks for answers, i love how in this forum you can get a answer to literally any question you can have about Doom

Huh, i selected GZDoom 3.8.2 but i dont find it, i am gonna look for it again, thanks for the answer. Edit: Nevermind, found it, i am still finishing setting up everything, speaking of which, it could be that software renderer provokes performance issues? I think is just my crappy cellphone (samsung galaxy a02) but is just that i prefer 1000 times over that look to OpenGL One more thing, probably a dumb question since i just saw something like this but i saw i can play Doom 64 in there too, how do i do it? And the PSX Doom port that was made recently is a wad too? Because i would love to play that too

Hello, i have a question. I have wanted to get Doom on my phone for a while i have been looking until i found Delta Touch. I tried playing Freedoom which from what i understand is similar, but a big problem i have is that it had vertical look and it cannot be deactivated or anything, and for Doom specially on a phone that is a big gameplay issue which makes it almost unplayable. Does Delta Touch also has this issue, or it can be configured?

Hello, so after a while i re-installed this game again with Doom 64 EX, and when i am touch the video options to put my screen resolution and remove the windowed screen for a full one, i try to re-launch the game to play it but that sign appears, i did not found any information on the official site so how can i fix it? Edit: The problem comes when i turn off the "windowed" option, otherwise is working fine. Also, what is the configuration to play it as vainilla as possible? I turned off v-sync and anti-sotropic filters.

Okay, let me know if you need anything music related. What are you doing by the way, like the psx version but without missing levels? For pc? I always wanted to play the psx version on pc but i had a hard time finding it and making it work. -
Oh God not again * Doom 2005 genetic non sense flashbacks * That would be okay and i would not mind if handled well, is actually a good idea if they want to make a Doom movie without Doom stuff because of budget

Oh man... First of all, about time they remembered to actually promote the movie, even if its straight to dvd they could make some money by curious people by the title of the brand alone. Now, the subtitle is pointless, and those pictures are awful, the ones with the marines not only look generic as hell (lol) but they look exactly like promotional photos of the 2005 movie but worse. And the zombie or whatever is supposed to be looks like a cheap costume from a cheap and old movie. Anyway, i am optimistic there will be some good in the movie, even the 2005 one had the FPS sequence and a great soundtrack, this one must have some good moments too i guess.

I just did, and when i drag the WAD to the "GZDoom.exe", the loading screen appears but then i get this: "Unsupported OpenGL version. At least OpenGL 3.3 is required to run GZDoom. For older versions of OpenGL please download the vintage build of GZDoom." Do i have to update my drivers? I have Windows 7 64 bits.

This looks AWESOME, but when i drag the wad to GZDoom it says "Script error, "Eviternity.wad:ZSCRIPT" line 3: Version mismatch. 3.5.0 expected but only 3.3.0 supported" What is it?

So, i am currently playing Hellbound, and everytime i load my saved game, the music is missing but appears at random when i start a level, and this is not the first time it happens, it happens with every wad, i guess is a gzdoom flaw. How can this be fixed? BTW, someone should put the name of the tracks Hellbound uses, because they are nowhere to be found, and they did not created them. Also it has a very irritating gimmick of turning everything as dark as possible, but that is for the review.

How is this supposed to work? I put all the stuff from the .rar into the gzdoom folder and launched Doom but it looks as it always does.

So, this is gonna be kind of a strech and bare bones opinion, but i was thinking for a while now, what is the metaphor? What is Doom really about? I think i figured it out, but i could also be totally insane, i will never know for sure until i play both original games and D16 on LSD, but here i go: I think that Doom is a journey through violence, where we fight our own violent instincts/impulses. Think about it, zombieman is the same exact model as Doomguy/marines, but "evil", so there is our nemesis right there, the guys with the shotguns are us but with shotguns, and all the other creatures also represent ourselves/the player but in other aspects. The thing that got me thinking about it is the Spider mastermind design and how it reflects the player (also is not a coincidence that is the final main boss of the first game and the master planner behind it all, not sure about the Icon of Sin symbolism yet): Is a brain attached to a gun and legs, just like us when we play are our brain attached to the "gun" (the mouse) and the other hand we use to move, is like an evil reflection of us not as a character but as a player through the game, see what i am getting at? Now i am not so sure about Doom 2 but might be more of the same, with the Earth setting having something to do with a hidden meaning in the game too. I know it sounds like a crazy, fragmented theory, but hopefully someone will think about it and see what i am saying, is something that i wanted to say to someone for a time now and this seems like the right place. D16 might be about the same thing, but i have to reflect on it.

Oh and the gameplay too, how could i forget, is flawess, a game without aiming because it does not need it, so many years and is still one of the best and most fun games ever, they did something special here.

I dont want to sound rude and welcome to the forum, but there was already a thread like this :/ I love everything about Doom, specially the first episode of the first game, everything about the first two games has a very special charm, the weapons, the levels, the assets, the textures, the sounds, the music, the monsters, the power ups, the violence, i just love Doom!

They are gonna add some new ones, remove some, and add variations to those who remain. Also was the Spidermind Olivia? When i saw the scene i thought she was dragged to hell and the master mind came through the same blood portal.

This. In D16 i did not read even one note about anything, i just played through the game, i like to read sometimes in games but Doom is not the place for that, maybe in the future i will replay it and actually read everything. The new Doomverse seems more inspired by the Doom comic than anything else, and i found the narrations very cheesy and not as badass as the devs probably think they are. Having said that, creating a Doom universe lore sounds interesting and i like it, if done well it can be awesome, but some stuff i saw was kinda generic and more alien than hellish, if anything i want lore of hell and fucked up settings.
