  7. Hey all! So thanks (I guess) to the quarantine, I have finally finished the 2nd map of my Doom NW project! It is a lot larger and more combat oriented than the first map was. There is also a larger emphasis on platforming in this one :) The idea is to make a 3 level mini episode that has a good mix of gameplay styles. Here's the details, and a download link is at the bottom. If you had already played the first map and just want to see the new one, you can use the "changemap MAP02" console command. Otherwise, I recommend playing both levels back to back for the full experience! Doom NW A seismic event has occurred and you have fallen into a collapsing UAC mining facility. Now you must make your way back out alive, and battle your way through the ore crushing facility! Screenshots Technical Stuff Port: GZDoom (incompatible with other ports, sorry!)   10. Hey @Austinado if you felt like it, it would be really cool to see you play my newly updated Doom NW project! The first map was released two years ago, and I just finished the second map this morning :) I built and tested it specifically with GZDoom so hopefully you won't have any problems with it since that's what you use too.     Like everyone else I've had a lot more time on my hands, so I've finally dove back into making the second level of my Doom NW project! Been working on it for like 4 days straight, getting pretty close to having it finished I believe. Pretty happy with how my truck and forklift came out :)

    Skinship - A large map for GZDoom

    Haha yeah I was getting a lot better at making that happen there towards the end, but then when I made it out with barely any health and no ammo I was scrambling to escape the next area with the bazillions of monsters spawning in. Brutal stuff...but awesome!

    This map is nuts! I really like what you did with a lot of the architecture and detailing. It's pretty crazy on the difficulty scale, haha.     This is a great set of maps!! Didn't quite beat it last night, the difficulty was ramping up there towards the end (which is awesome). A solid way to spend your quarantine time I'd say, bravo!

  19. I'm curious if any of you have ever made a parked semi truck, or vehicle of any sort using classic vanilla Doom (without using any new zDoom features such as slopes, or sectors above sectors). For my level I'm working on now I'm wanting to include a semi truck, so I would love to see some references of how other people have gone about making one and texturing it in a convincing way. Or if you haven't made one, but know of any WADS that have something like this I could play, I'd love to know so I can check them out... Thanks!

    Hey man thanks so much for playing! Glad you're liking it. You found a couple bugs I hadn't seen before. Really, really weird and annoying about the blue switches to the lift not working, as far as I know you're the first that's ran into that issue. Would you mind letting me know which exact version of GZDoom you're playing in? Also, hadn't seen that bug with the door next to the chainsaw either, I'll investigate that as well. Also appreciate you pointing out a few texture alignment issues. Thanks a ton for the vid! It's so cool to see other people play it :) Cheers!
  22. Man so many vehicles, I wasn't expecting to see this many. Thanks everybody. Funny enough, I was just playing Ion Maiden and it has some pretty great looking buses in it that are pretty much just textured rectangles.

  24. Oh man I haven't played Redneck Rampage in forever! This is great, I love what you pointed out about the same ground texture being used on the lower underneith part of the truck, that's a pretty convincing trick I'm going to have to mess with. Thanks!
