I updatet my first post, now there is a link to HELLNEST.WAD, this are the maps from the first episode. @Biodegradables playthrough from the maps are in this topic: In HELLNEST.WAD are only the first 2 maps, the other maps of episode 1 - I haven't released it yet, but I try to do this ASAP. Thanks for your feedback,no problem if you don't like it but E2M2 and E2M5 are the hardest and most confusing maps of this wad.
  2. Now its time to release the complete second episode from my megawad ZOOM.WAD - "Hell on Mars". The WAD includes E2M1 to E2M9 and an secret exit in E2M5 and also some selfdrawn and recolored textures. The maps are smaller and should not be to hard for playing but E2M2 and E2M5 are bigger and much harder, especially in UV. Pistol start in every map is possible without any problems. Some of you already know the map E2M3, I postet it here some time ago and also playing videos were recorded by some members. All maps are originally built 1996 to 1998 with dmapedit 4.3 and restyled with GZDoombuilder. All of them are in old vanilla doom format even if it doesn't look like it. (wall textures on flats and flats as wall textures) The wad works only with GZDOOM or ZDOOM based boards because there is a MAPINFO and a TERRAIN text included (monster specials,level numbers) so that you cant beat some of the maps whith other boards.(I'm pretty sure) The most of the new textures are in truecolor and so its possible they are not displayed correctly in older Zdoom versions.   3. Thanks, i know this thread with the list of playtesters. Generally i don't beg someone to make videos of my maps or give feedback. If someone wants to play my maps its ok. otherwise its also more than ok ;) It's enough for me if I can make my maps public here on the board. I try to make my maps (in UV) hard but not too hard like 3 cyberdemons in a room with less ammo or ammo can easily run out in the map so that you had to punch monsters like barons with the fist - without any berserk pack! Oh yes, the iceroom with the 2 spidermasters:) not so easy to fight there but the barons can do a lot for you.There is also a small gap on the left side in the icewall.There it is possible to shot with the shotgun on on the left spidermaster.There you will be safe and he cant hit you so easy.You shold have enough shell ammo for that. The first comment I received on my wad - im am not sure, as far as I can remember was that you can only fight monsters in front of you and it would be more challenging if they attack at same time behind of you.
  4. Many thanks for your feedback you are the first after a longer time! I already thought that nobody is interested about my WAD. And yes, the maps with the purple slime are not so funny and easy especially E2M5, the suit in this map is only for pickup the health bonus on the lava floor. The purple slime is nearly instantly death when to touch it (also with 1000 hitpoints).The only protection is the invulnerability sphere or cheating. At the moment I don't know where the cyberdemon on an icy floor is. Possibly it is in E2M6 before you get the red key in the outdoor area. If you mean this area, you dont need to kill the cyberdemon you can run away but admittedly its not easy to do it. The secret map: The room with the teleporter is an fake exit so you can open the door only from one side and when a player is trapped in this room he had to take the teleporter and get to the room with the barons who kill them. The one time secrets should be the crate lifts with the berserk and blue armor on it, but you don't really need it to finish this map, therefore its not a repeatable action. And the switch next do the red door, should be pretty easy to see when you open the blue door.There is also an wooden cube with the rocket launcher and you only can grab them when you go upstairs where the lewer is, even without the red skull key. But as I said: thanks you for your feedback.
  5. This is my first release of Doom2 maps. (i already released some maps for Doom1) The maps are in vanilla format with some boom specials and custom textures/sprites so it only works with Zdoom based boards.The maps are small but on UV very challenging. Especially the second part of MAP03 is very hard on UV so the map is not really beatable, but i am sure someone can do it.Both maps are out of my abandoned project from 2017. Have fun with playing.     Thanks for your offer! But i am release my maps mostly for all members in the board, so they all can give feedback and criticism so that i can improve to make my maps better.I have also some maps which I cannot make publish at the moment (some of them have no things or tags for door, lifts.... and other maps I don't even know from where the resources came from.I have to give credits to the authors, for me that goes without saying. In MAP03 I only wanted the invulnerability sphere in the easy skill,but then this map would be too unfair to play. I left it, because it is in a secret area and not so easy to find.

    STONEGATE.WAD - 2 maps for DOOM2

    Hi @ElPadrecitoCholo Many thanks for playing my maps and your feedback. To MAP02: Wow! You found the secret with the plasmarifle in the secret passage where the baron of hell is ! 88% secrets and 100% of items is a lot! Im am sure you get the megasphere on this map ;) To MAP03: I'm really glad you like the texturing of this map. Yes, this map is very hard specially the "warehouse" with the red marines when you need to get to the blue key switch. The red marines have "only" 200 hitpoints but I´m not sure if they have a special damage type. (i had to look in the decorate text) The archvile is also not realy useful when he resurrect the marines again and again. But when you wait in the room where you get the blue key, most of the monsters come upstairs to you, and you can kill them easier.I used the Rocketlauncher. On the paltform whith the blue key switch there is also a hidden switch with the letter "U" on the right side that lowers a crate with the invisible sphere that can you help a lot with hitscanners like the red chaingunner marines. (I´m sure you dont get the invulnerability sphere but this is very well hidden ;) ) 99% of kills and 97% of items and 66% secrets are more than enough!And you have 600 off 600 cells at the end of the map! I will try to post 2 other maps (04 and 05) in the near future that you can test for me. And thanks again for playing!

E1M1 is tech/computer based, E1M2 is hellish/gore based.The maps are build for Zdoom based boards but there are some flat texture as walls and possible they will not displayed correctly in other boards.The maps are also out of one of my megawads and some parts were a little bit restyled.     Thanks for that! I really have to build a Doom2 map that you can test, in the near future - but unfortunately I don't have a plan yet. I am sure you can play and test some other Doom1 maps next time.

Is was very enjoyable ;) You playing my maps much better than me and at the end in E1M2 you have 100 shells in UV!(possible I had to reduce some of them) The switch in E1M1 between the wide door near the exit is repeatable and lowerse the lift.You switched the console before the exit door that opens a secret door in the room upper the lift with an blue armor in. You nearly get the soulsphere in E1M2. You hit a secret switch on the garg head in the room with the exitdoor.You grabbed downstairs the berserk and you also hit a switch in this room. This lowers an lift upstairs where the baron was, but you have to run fast. Thanks for playing! @ElPadrecitoCholo Thanks also to you for playing and feedback.Wow! you get the soulsphere in E1M2 and also the blue armor in E1M1.I will try to post some other maps of episode 1 from my megawad next time.     @Dubbag Hi, also thx for playing my map, and congratulations you are the first who get the secret with the blue armor but no one could get to the soul sphere, until now ;).In some parts of the video you nearly run out of ammo and also very low at health. And yes you had the rocket launcher + enough of ammo. It is just before the trap door with the cacodemons. I still have several maps, but they are only for Doom and not Doom2. (I will try to post some of them when i have enough time.) This maps are a litte bit revised and out of a 3 episodes wad called "ZOOM.WAD". My brother has a build an megawad for Doom2 (about 20 years ago) but this maps are not not really playable. Possible i can try to overwork some of them and post it here.

    @Suitepee Sorry for the late answer, but i was too busy to look here on Doomworld. Thanks for playing my map, this map is out of an older megawad whith three episodes and most of the maps are not really designed for pistol start. Therefore also the nineties style ;) The trap room (after the building staircase) whith the 2 cacodemons, are only 2 of them in the hard skill, in medium skill is instead of a cacodemon a pinky and in easy an imp.When i have time i will post in the next weeks E2M4 and E2M5 from this megawad.

    @Biodegradable Many thanks for your patience to play my map and i´m sorry you did not come to the exit room.I am really enjoyed your playthrough from my map. Yes, i was also really (too) mean as i created the map. The two doors to the exit (in the bloody floor room) are already replaced with normal doors, and the fixed link for the map is now in my first post. Thanks again to clippy for his playing video.

    Hi Clippy! Thanks for playing my map and posting this Video! I would never believed that the map is so much crazy and dizzy to play.With your speedrun at the beginnig, you don't get to your destination.You have to kill one monster after the other, especially in UV.As already said, i had to overwork the secrets in the map to find them easier. A litte tip from me how you can get the soulsphere that you can see through the window near the starting point: The red arrow marks the secret door that you only can open whith a gunshot (linetype 46).Its in the area you get on the lift when you hit the whe you get downstairs in the blue room.The yellow arrow marks the spot who is the door you couldn't open in the outdoor area.When you get in this room there is a another secret.Open the hidden door (blue arrow), hit the switch and the metal bars will rise you can find on the other side of the outdoor area.Get in the room whith the blood floor and there is waiting an invulnerability sphere for you. ;) I hope you can read it, but my english is not the best.

    Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you like the combats and the architecture. Yes the map is really a little bit strange but thats also a kind how i create maps. And the secrets, there are some quite difficult to find (especially the one with the plasma rifle) so i need to revise something here so that they are easier to reach.

    My first doom builder map.

    At first, i really like warehouse maps but these one is the pure chaos! I had to save the game every 30sec and i didn´t get to the exit.But i also have to say that i´m really not the best player. @clippy you have a very good playstyle and beat it under 10 min! wow! For his first try to create a map it´s more than o.k.

I already knew that about DM and coop play.All of the maps in a old megawad that I currently reworking has 4 player starts and DM starts, but its only tested in single player.I'm pretty sure thats not playable with more than 1 player. (doors close, walls raise only one time.... and the other players get trapped)

    This is out of a megawad called CLOOM.WAD - map is E2M7 "THE LAVA HALL". Its an older megawad in vanilla format from about the year 2000. Those were one of my first steps with custom graphics and sounds.

    I'm Also Looking to Play and Record Your Maps

    @HAK3180 Thanks for taking time to play my map.I'm glad that you like the style. Your playthrough at all your recordings are damn good ! I did not notice that this map plays like 2. And yes, this map is build for lack ammo in UV.Other players give me the feedback that they still have enough cells until the end on UV.(but I'm sure they did not kill all the cacos and baron in the cages.) You also killed the spider mastermind in the cave and that requires a lot of ammo. You killed 97% and found 8/14 secrets! Thats very impressive ! When you go up the stairs at the beginning of the level,there is a secret door and an blue armor in.This should be easy to find with keen eyes.Another secret is in the brown area with the cacos cage and the heli landing pad. That can only be found by wall humping.The switch in this secret room lowers the red stoned platform in the cave after the blue key locked room. There you can grap the soul sphere. I especially laughed just before you opened the red door,you hear a teleport sound and you say "i dont feel save". At last, many thanks for your feedback !
