    Teleporting into map

    How can I have the player teleport into a map at the start when the map first begins instead of just the normal start? Similar to how Quake 3 arena starts by teleporting the player at start.
  2. Hey! I have been MIA for the past 10 or so months(playing games and school work) and haven't been making posts. Also, my doom wad level making quotas has went down the crapper considerably. My question is, what has been going on here lately as far as major doom projects releases, new/old community members, and other changes these last 10 or so months?     Dark7:Mission Pack (The Special Edition)

    I decided to put a hold on my 'Silent Hill' scenario themed project and do some clean up on my old map 'Dark7:Mission Pack'. When I made the mission pack, I was using the old editor 'DoomCad' as my main builder. Due to its limitations and functions, I couldn't fully put the work I really wanted to put in this old project at the time. I decide to rework the areas using DoomBuilder to add new architectural details throughout the layouts and various other tweaks.   5. I know this is a noob question.... I want to know how do you cross a scripted line and have some archviles spawn? Also how would I go about killing two Cybermonster bosses and having a door raised? I know....its a noob question. -Bryant (Gunrock)
  6. I tried posting some bugs in the GZDoom forums, but it wouldn't let me register. So anyway, I wanted to load up some of my old wads in GZDoom (Dark7mpk), but when I enter the level warp cheat command (IDCLEV) the game crashed when it tried to load up the map and kicked me to desktop with an "send error report message" box. I then reverted back to GZDoom 1.0.24 (working version). GZDoom 1.0.30 also crashes badly on Tormentor's UTNT megawad too. Any ideas?

    Darkening Mission Pack

    The Darken2 texture set is one of my favorite texture sets(used in Dark7 and Dark7mpk). What source port are you gonna use?

Is there anyone else besides me that checks and double checks for glitches, HOM effects, monsters stuck in walls ,etc and then upload it to the archives and a week or two later discover that there is still more glitches that have been overlooked? How can an author keep from making these blunders?

    Best place to store all of my wads?

    Is there any other place besides the idgames archives where you guys store all of your personal projects/wads so others can download them. The reason I ask is because I dont want to keep reuploading my wads to the idgames archive to get reviewed over and over again just because I found a small glitch in my map that wasn't worth the rereview. Besides, who would want to look through all the mess in idgames trying to find a decent wad to play anyway?
  11. All of my custom models from my projects that I have made(Silent Steel and Braham Manor) have vanished! The models all have converted back to 2d sprites. It happened when I downloaded the latest Vavoom source port (version 1.24)Any ideas? Gunrock

    Yeah....I'm currently working on something that I'm trying to do thats better than Dark7 that I haven't done before. I'm just stuck on choosing between Vavoom or GZDoom. Also I fixed those triangular Sh#t slopes.     I found a wad that has extremely great slopes called 'Phocas Island2' I am going to redo some of the slopes in Dark7 so they wont look like shit. Thanks for pointing that out.

    Lol yeah....me and the Solution had a hard time trying to do natural looking slopes but couldnt find any wads out there that could give us some good hills and such......hmmmmmmm
