  2. Happy 25th Anniversary Doom 64! On behalf of @AtomicFrog may I present to you Doom 64 Reloaded; now available for the official Doom 64 remaster for the first time! Doom 64 Reloaded is an enhancement of Doom 64 that has been over two years in the making. It takes the Doom 64 engine to its limit to expand upon the already creepy atmosphere of the game. Each level has additional detail, graphics, and the number of levels has been expanded to 48 (with 7 additional deathmatch maps). Also the soundtrack has been overhauled where it has increased from 24 tracks to 52; no level repeats a track. New secrets to find, new mysteries to uncover, and new secret levels too! This is not how Doom 64 actually is, but how many might have remembered the game being like in 1997. That is dark, mysterious, and haunting...     We'll see if we can get it to 32! There have been a lot of single-map Doom 64 releases. And we have plenty of people to ask to see if they want their maps to be included in this set.

    Hello everyone! I am posting this plan of action in case anyone objects or would like to help out. @styd051 and I are planning to port this collection to Nightdive's official remaster and the Nintendo 64. Here's what we're planning: First @styd051 will port the maps to the Remaster. Which sometimes requires changing how switches are set-up, sometimes widening sectors to fit the enemy sizes, and debugging macros. Second, I will port @styd051's work to the N64, which sometimes requires fixing macros, and additional "no occlusion" flags. Here's some additional things were hoping to do: Fixing bugs which can softlock the player and other potential progression bugs Adding a brief storyline (akin to the size of the original Doom 64's storyline) Adding a few additional maps from the community to make it a fuller set. Let me know what you think!
  6. Sound Bulb HQ could theoretically have a conflict. I have seen the audio get scrambled before, not because there is anything wrong with the mod, but just it sound loading of the engine.
  7. On my end it sounds okay. So I am not sure what might be going on for you @ASON-Z-. It could be computer dependent, so we may need more testing.

Let me break that down! 1) Combat puzzles - yes 2) 100's of enemies - yes 3) Large open spaces - on PC yes 4) Atmosphere - of course 5) Custom textures - yes 6) Custom music - yes (limits to which varies on engine) 7) Custom enemies.... Doom 64 Remaster - you can only replace the graphics and sounds Doom 64 EX+ engines - there is some DeHacked support I think, but they also have a big variety (especially SEX+) of new enemies, which you can swap in custom graphics Doom 64 Retribution/CE on GZDoom - well its not really a Doom 64 engine, but you can do anything you want there If you want a guide on Doom 64 modding take a look at this guide: https://www.doom64.com/ Or DM me as well, I can tell ya what you need to do for specific tasks (if its possible!)

    Nice I will watch this video! So the gist I get, is to use TEXTUREx to resize the individual pieces, then make a new composite with those pieces and then the individual scaling should be retained.

    I am getting the N64 Hexen IWAD to work on PC. Its mostly there, but right now its the textures. Many were shrunk to fit on the N64 cart and I realize I can use TEXTUREx to scale them properly. But what can I do in the scenario like this where a combination would need two different scalings? I am hoping to get as broad compatibility as possible, but I dont mind resorting to decorate. Next I think I will need to tackle the skies. So I will have to figure that out too.

    A lot of the general discords listed do have specific mapping and modding areas depending on which engines (including Doom 64) you would like to work with. So depending what engines you want to target we can recommend some!
