  1. Well hey, having the original first three episodes mostly unmodified will be nice. So I'm definitely looking forward to that project too.
  2. Oh man. There's an MGS hacking Discord server that deals with reverse engineering just about all of the Metal Gear games. You guys should message me and I'll send you guys the Discord server link, and if you guys reverse engineered and made better ports of Twisted Metal 1 and 2 I'd literally die. Going back on topic though this project is awesome, and it reminds me of a project I found on YouTube where they decompiled/disassembled/reverse engineered/ported/etc the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES from it's original 6502 Assembly form to C++. I'm a little sad here with this in the beginning since like it might be a Windows only thing but in the future I hope you guys will consider maybe making it compatible with Mac OS X, Linux, Android, etc.
  3. @Deā“§iaz Thank you anyway for your contributions though, all more a step in the direction of an awesome complete community project! :)

Do you prefer Doom 3 or Quake 4?

Things have already been said about both their single player so allow me to speak my opinions about the multiplayer in both of them. Vanilla Doom 3's multiplayer is pretty mediocre but mods like Last Man Standing and the sort make it a lot better, and I played a bit of Quake 4's multiplayer early in my high school years and it kind of felt like an HD Quake III Arena, I really liked it.
  5. EDIT: Here's a screenshot of two player working, this was a pain in the ass to set up, especially because one of the PSXs has trouble reading discs and the other reads them just fine. EDIT: And this is what happens when one game tries to boot into the Doom Beta's MAP01, and the other tries to boot into the Master Levels Beta's MAP01, just for shits and giggles. :P

    gba vs mobile

Well for what it's worth if you have the equipment for it Doom GBA at least had some four player linked play for deathmatch and maybe co-op but I'm not sure. Also in the Doom 1 GBA port there are exclusive deathmatch levels worth exploring. It's not a fair comparison though since GBA Doom came out in the early 2000's and anything Android related would be out on significantly more powerful mobile hardware in the 2010s.

if doom 64 had multi player?

The Nintendo 64 besides space limitations was more capable than the PlayStation and proven with Duke Nukem 64 it probably could've had it but like people have said, people were moving on from 2.5D shooters and were moving on to hardware accelerated 3D shooters like Quake and GoldenEye and Turok and such.
  8. I also want to report that The Titan Anomaly, and The Farside of Titan are missing some sounds for the Revenant, Hell Knight, Cacodemon, Arachnotron, and maybe a few others if I remember correctly. Well there's a switch here and I have no idea what it does I'm willing to wager it has something to do with the silver highlighted rectangle around the bottom left but I can't seem to get there fast enough as it seems to be a repeatable switch that's probably a timed action. EDIT: Okay there's multiple of these rectangular rooms, I'm guessing they're all secret switch rooms, I've hit some of them I believe on some floors.
  9. Ah, all right. I guess I'll level warp to the next level. :P EDIT: I can't figure out how to get to Bad Dream from TEETH, I mean, how would you get up the ledge without the Arch-Vile?
  10. Icon of Sin Vivisection And then worst of all, I got stuck here in Baron's Banquet! (Also guys seriously please tell me how to make my pictures smaller and I will!) EDIT: Could you guys make a patch for the normal PSX Doom and PSX Final Doom for the Nightmare difficulty? I'd love to replay the original maps on Nightmare too. EDIT: Shrunk the images, thanks again for telling me how to do it guys!
  11. I've been playing Beta 3 and boy it's been an up and down rollercoaster of difficulty, I've been playing through on Ultra-Violence and I've been taking it day by day, and I got to The Living End but I ran out of ammo late in the map and died... Anyway, here's a bug report. I apologize for it being so big as I have no idea how to make it smaller, but when this area in The Chasm rises up, the teleporter here stays down and the walls are glitched. EDIT: Shrunk the images

    Doom 1-3 on the Switch?!

So a couple of things I'd like to state here if I may. 1. In theory, I believe the Android port was deliberately made to possibly get Delta Touch removed in the future, the way I predicted years back that Super Mario Maker was Nintendo's excuse for going after rom hackers. 2. Bethesda is going to do worse and worse shit in the future and get away with it because filthy casuals give them their money which encourages their poor behavior, no matter how good it's probably going to be, I'm not touching Doom Eternal. (As if one person's personal boycott matters anyway lol) 3. Bethesda may be becoming the next aughties era EA and might be fucking id the way EA fucked Westwood Studios and the other companies they absorbed into their bloated putrid clouds of greed and repugnance. They clearly are aware they can do whatever the hell they want with id's properties since they own them these days. 4. I agree with anyone who said that if the XBLA ports and the PS3 and BFG Edition ports are getting removed from digital stores, then the originals on Steam and GOG may potentially unfortunately be next. The future is not bright here, Fallout 76 didn't seem to be enough to teach Bethesda a proper lesson.

    Doom 1-3 on the Switch?!

This is hilariously bad. First there's online-only DRM requiring a Bethesda.net account, and now you're telling me it's made in Unity? What the hell lmao Are you required to have a Bethesda account to take it up the ass from daddy Todd Howard?
  14. Been lurking this thread for a long time and decided I could contribute to the conversation from what I know with running PlayStation 1 backups. If you can get your hands on a GameShark, one that plugs into the parallel port in the back, not a CD version although there are some CDs out there that allow for swapping afaik, and if you learn the swap trick, you can make a CD to flash the firmware in said GameShark or whatever cheat device you can get your hands on that connects to the parallel port. http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=722 The firmware we would be flashing onto the cheat devices is Unirom, be sure to research some of this as unfortunately I can't remember everything off hand but I'm sure this should help. When Unirom is booted off of the cheat device you flashed it to, you can use it for a passthrough to bypass the DRM people were talking about in the thread. In fact here's a video showing off what I'm talking about, as of recent I checked eBay for GameShark cartridges, and right now there's quite a few, all reasonably priced.
