    Hey guys! So after my first mapping experience with Djinn, and after realizing about the many flaws it had, i decided to work on another project. Most of you won't know anything about Djinn, let's just say it was a 25 maps megawad which involved a schizofrenic named Snail trying to find his other half, killing the demons inside him. Djinn was the mind trip of a mental inside an asylum, which finally led to his silent death. Happy is Metempsychosis, a post-mortem trip which is Snail's search for Peace. Being a new mapper i'm always in search of good advices, as i'm still learning and trying to understand the mechanics. If you play this wad and think that something is unfair or badly designed just tell me with no remorse, i will surely think about it and fix what possible. As usual i am working on this alone with the only help of my brother as first tester and "swearer" (neologism i guess). TESTED ON: GZdoom latest version, this wad doesn't work with other ports and i don't think i ll be able to ever change that, i am sorry... "...Beyond the Abyss a whispering hiss. So i decided to build straightforward maps mostly centered on encounters. 3) Wad now supports Hmp and lower difficulties as well, but don't expect it to be that easy anyway. 4) there was a hole here, now it's gone. 5) How can i be free? How can i get out? Am i really me? Am i someone else? 6) It's in the past now 7) Don't play this wad if you hate archviles, i love them. a lot. But after Bridgeburner56 said "archvile overusage" (yes he truly said that) i decided to remove some of them, I REALLY DID! 8) i'm using custom sprites for the following monsters: Zombieman, Sergeant, chaingunner, revenant, arachnotron, lost soul, mancubus, cyberdemon and spider mastermind. Keep in mind that they are very simlar to the original ones, and they act the same. I'm also using weapon reskins, most of them are from MagicDoom by MagicSofa (under his permission of course), the others were made by me. 9) There are a couple of custom monsters, one is recurrent (and for a reason), the other ones are bosses and appear just once. 10) all custom textures were taken from realm667 and will properly credited in the main file once the wad is published 11) Music consist of various midis found on the net, some are black and death metal tracks, some come from videogames from the past (to name a few: Suikoden, Alundra, Legend of Dragoon). Everything will be properly credited when the wad is published. EPISODE ONE: Metem-Psychosis Snail is in Limbo, where Djinn ended. Someone, or something, is reclaiming his soul. 1) Where Dead Demons Lied 2) You'll Never see the Sun again!!! 3) Limbus Puerorum 4) Thy Black Light 5) The Defilers EPISODE TWO: Daath When Snail had to choose if to climb up or jump down, he decided to jump down. Death stole his eyes and hid them in the bowels of the world. 6) To die once more 7) I am one 8) To be reborn 9) City of Solitude 10) Death pierce me 11) Crypt of Insomnia 12) Ad Astra EPISODE THREE: Slumber After closing the three eyes Snail fell uncounscious for six days.     Thanks a lot mate! I am sorry that i was rather absent from the community last week but my job is keeping me busy :( Anywaym the revenants are the draugrs, i took them from shades of doom but i think they originally come from hellforged! I hope you will keep enjoying this, nothing will be too hard, except episode five i think :)

  4. @HAK3180 Dranyan map will be way more challenging! Anyway, i m sorry for the visuals, this was a speedmap :( As for the fight itself, you did it in such a weird way hahahaha, you missed the plasma and then you killed the mastermind which was there to help with the next fight (of course you couldn't know in a blind run), archviles come when you press the second switch (the one behind the mastermind), so they shouldn't have been in the middle of the mess, but i guess that's what blind runs are right? I know this is out of the box, i asked if i could and it seems it was accepted, the first version was harder and the bfg wasn't easy to obtain (it was behind the hks so you had to clean up a bit first) but then i was asked to make it easier and that's what happened. After 26 maps of classic doom i thought that a "breather" would have been nice hahahaha thanks a lot for playing it! EDIT: oh oh wait i forgot! since you are a final fantasy (old ones) lover i will quote: "He who fights and runs away lives to see another day". Dwarves in which ff?

    Thanks :) that's exactly what i was trying to do: tell a story. Even though it is hard in a game like Doom, i always considered it as a way to express myself in that matter as well. So maybe some maps are minimalistic and they may be seen as fillers (see 12 for example) but they actually have a meaning. Thanks for noticing that, i hope to get more feedback from you, have a nice one!

    Close to Dog is the "innominabile"! Thank you Hak the Legend, i will continue playing your wip these days, i like it a lot :) Also, you are the only one who played close to dog 3 times in a row including it's early version so i think you deserve a special cacoward just for that hahaah (most patient playtester? does it exists? it should).

    thanks a lot! 31 years, 25 with a dead rabbit in my nightmares! Your maps deserve to be on id games man, and you are basically one of the most creative mappers in the community, no doubt about that^^ (for better or worse, i don't give a shit, still one of the most creative). Thanks a lot buddy

    i had some problems with that as well, what i did was: give map 16 etc (until you need another text) cluster 1, and give a new cluster to the secret level. That way when you end level 31 or 32 and go to level 16 it won't repeat the text from the previous maps. so. Let's say map 1 is cluster 1 and when you end it you give a text, then map 2 will be cluster 2. Map 31 will have cluster 4 and you create the text, same with map 32 (clsuter 4 or 5 depending if you want to put another text or not). Then let's say you want to put another text in map 20, basically you ll eed to give cluster 1 to map 16/17/18/19 and cluster 3 to map 20. I hope i explained myself correctly in this :)
  17. i completely agree with what you said about map 26, but in that moment i was a bit confused so i couldn't think straight^^. I saw the video again and yes i had the key but really i didn't even notice! I remember you loving odissey of course, i love that map as well, when i said "what's the point of this platforming" i said it because i still couldn't progress in the level and i was sure that was the right way :) Anyway, all in all it was a very good map!
