  1. I've had to reinstall Windows, though all of my projects were successfully backed up, it will take a few days to get everything sorted and reinstalled.

  2. This was the most tedious thing I've ever done...not bad though.
    Use as you wish as it would kinda suck for this to only exist in one wad after all the hours of work this took.
    I like how the "STFEVIL" frames turned out the most.

  4. I feel refreshed and ready to got back to work on Facility of the Damned, got some YouTube stuff done my gf is off for a week and I'm ready again to get FotD v2 finished!

  5. So update v1.1 for Facility of the Damned is being pushed back...

    Why?
    Because of Mistral, my new puppy, he's an awesome little guy but he needs my attention during the day and that has taken my time away from mapping, I'm still working on it as well as preparing and making textures for the Torex wad (long ways away from even being a beta) but I have to prioritize the pup so I can train him and keep him out of things he shouldn't get into right now.

    The new touches on map one are 98% finished and map two needs some more detailing and item placement needs to be started, I'd say it's about 70ish% done though.

    So I'm sorry to the maybe one person looking forward to the ver.1.1 FotD update, but real world stuff must always come first.

      Windows need lower(L) and upper(U) unpegged settings or auto align with a or a+shift keys. 

  8. Taking a break from the Torex maps to make a simple map but I've realized I have no idea how to do sky...
    If anyone can shoot some tips my way, I would be grateful.

      Sky texture by default is determined by the map's slot. There are a couple ways of getting around this. In Boom (PRBoom+ really, no one uses a Boom port before that these days) and above, you can use sky transfers (line action 271) to transfer a sky to sectors with the same tag as the line. In more advanced ports such as ZDoom, which seems to be what you're using, you can use MAPINFO to assign a sky to a map.

  9. Ok, been busy with other things so progress is almost nonexistent and I've still got stuff today....sigh...
    Reality first though but at least map two is starting.

  10. Whelp, they're kinda meh, but for my first set of textures, they turned out ok, supposed to be various screens for a ship...
    Some were slightly touched up screenshots of my desktop and some were just paint.

  11. Alrighty, this area is the new path through a "data center" and "maintenance/sub-deck" area, it's going to be slightly darker when it's completed and full of little alcoves with items and enemies.

  12. on the home stretch for map one, I've decided to make it multi-level, a lot of stuff I want to do is too much for one map and I've realized some halls may be too long so I want to flesh them out with rooms and alternate areas to get to the end, it's a broken down star ship after all, so some doors shouldn't work so why not go down the dark maintenance corridors instead to get to the bridge...       

    Any one know any good music I can use, I love Doom 2's OST, but none of it fits very well...

  13. Some more shots, updated the areas from my first two screen shots and I'm adding some enemies to the mostly finished or completed areas...

    p.s. expect new screens every day or two until I'm ready to share it with the world.
    p.s.s. Anyone know any good music for an abandoned space ship style map, thanks.

      Honestly, third screenshot from the last one - do you really need so many swiches? I just wonder, if they are serve any function or just stay here as decoration.

      Only one is meant to function, the rest are decoration, I want to keep them in, but I'll probably find a way to make it a bit more obvious that only one is actually usable later when I polish things up.
