    My first wad: Power Factory

    Thanks for the feedback, I agree with a lot of what you said. A lot of my influence comes from games like Half Life 2 which is why there's so much open areas, but I agree that more tighter spaces would help with combat. Also as far as there being too many items, I think maybe changing how much health and ammo you're given based on the difficulty would have been a good idea. Also I make the rocket launcher a secret but I couldn't figure out how to do it in the editor.
  2. Hello everyone, so I've been into doom mods and stuff for a while now, and I thought I'd finally try to get into mapping. This is a single map wad I started earlier this year, and every now and then I would come back to it and add some stuff or change some things around. Eventually I got to a point where I felt like it was finished. A few points: -This wad uses DOOM2.WAD as the iwad -There is only 1 map that is edited: MAP01. All other maps are unchanged from original doom 2 -It was tested in GZDoom and Zandronum, but it should work in any zdoom based source port. -Make sure crouch, jump, and free-look are disabled -There is no difference between any of the difficulties Resources used: -Textures from cc4-tex.wad -Music: 3 Cans Later by Chris Geehan & Dan Byrne McCullough Some screenshots: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >> DOWNLOAD HERE << ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had fun making this map, and I hope to improve my doom mapping skills in the future.   3. I'd like to mention REKKR. It has completely original enemies, weapons, and music, and the level design and aesthetic are really good for something that stays within the constraints of chocolate doom.

    What are you playing now?

    Lately I've been playing REKKR, and also The Golden Souls 2 sort of on the side. I just recently finished the first episode of REKKR, and that wad turned out to be a lot better than I initially expected. As for TGS2 I played the first few levels, but I still have yet to really get into it. I enjoyed the hell out of the first one though.

    Best Megawad ever (In Your Opinion)

    While I've never really gotten around to finishing it, Sunlust would have to be my favorite megawad.
  7. I find that UV, for doom i and ii at least, offers the best challenge where the game is really difficult, but not to the point where it's unfair (most of the time). I didn't really think there was a stigma against playing anything other than UV though. I usually play on hurt me plenty just cause I find it a lot more fun.

    The Age of Hell: FPS game for GZDoom - DEMO OUT

    Dude, this stuff looks sick AF! I could never have to patience to do stuff this detailed. Also I really like the idea of having an ice hell level to give it some variety. Can't wait to check it out!
