    Cursed Doom Images

Well, I found out that "Cursed Images" are popular right now, so I want to hop in on the trend! Here's an image I found while trying to search for an image relating to Doom made out of a mosaic: What are your Cursed Doom Images?

    Any good horror mods?

Are there any good horror mods that I can play? I don't want any of that cheap jumpscare stuff because all those do is hurt my ears. What would be great is maps that feel unnerving and the monsters would be terrifying to look at. For example, horror mods that replace all the Doom enemies with mutated versions of themselves in a dark atmosphere would be interesting. I probably was too specific when explaining this.
  3. So, today I was watching a video that had examples of game developers losing the source code to their own game. What I want to know is, how? Before I start, I just want to let you know that seeing things like this happen to other games, it makes me very thankful that we have the source code to my favorite games like Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Duke Nukem 3D, and other FPS games in that era. So, for a really long time, I believed that every company had a vault of any kind that stored information that was very important to the company. Secrets that have not been revealed to the public. Unreleased content (cancelled media is a good example of what might be in there). But after hearing that it is common for game development companies to lose the source code to their own game, I kind of stopped believing in the whole "secret place with lots of stuff hidden away" thing, and made me think of the one question I have about this: HOW!? Oh wait, I've said this already. How does a source code to a game that a company most likely values very importantly gets lost in the middle of nowhere? If a game developer goes bankrupt, then it would make more sense for the source code to be lost in my opinion, cause it's probably not easy to liquidate EVERY asset when a company goes under.

Websites you go to, but not very often

Obviously, some websites are more interesting to you than others. For example, I go to Doomworld a lot. And I go to ZDoom Forums sometimes, and I go to Zandronum forums almost never (but I am very active on Zandronum's multiplayer servers, but only the ones with the mode as "Cooperative"). What websites you go to but you don't go to those websites that much?

    Sonic Movie.

Sonic Movie. The trailer looked awful. I have said this before and I'll say it again for the one millionth time, VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS DO. NOT. FUCKING. WORK. ON A MOVIE! I'm so angry, it's not even funny. I normally don't talk about Sonic on the internet despite the fact that I am a fan of said franchise because I'm aware of the shit fandom Sonic has, but when Hollywood wants to fuck up one of my favorite video game characters, I'm going to rant about it, and there's nothing you or your dog can do about it. Sonic apparently has the power to run so fast that he causes a power outage. Why does SEGA/SONICTEAM keep licensing their mascot to 3rd-parties who obviously have no idea what the fuck they are doing with said license? Here is a list of things that SEGA licensed their mascot in the 1990's. Sonic's Edusoft (Unreleased Master System game, 1991) Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (AOSTH, American cartoon series, 1993) Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM, American cartoon series, 1993) Sonic's Schoolhouse (American PC game, 1996) Sonic Underground (American cartoon series, 1999) I honestly am super livid right now. I don't think SEGA has ever learned from the mistakes they made, and I doubt they ever will learn from them at this point. What's different about this compared to the other bad things that SEGA put Sonic through is that Sonic has never been into Hollywood movie territory before. This is the one thing that has never happened to Sonic before. And I can smell the consequences, oh boy can I smell it. Even though Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors (I loved both "Dumb and Dumber" movies, "Liar Liar", "Bruce Almighty", and "The Truman Show".), I don't think poor Jim should be dragged into a fanbase as cancerous as Sonic's. He did not deserve this. The only thing I like about the movie is that Sonic has blue arms, and the reason why I like the fact that Sonic has blue arms is because I know that Sonic having blue arms pisses off Chris-chan. When Chris-chan gets angry, it makes me feel good. SEGA has made so many mistakes with their character, but this could possibly be the BIGGEST. ONE. YET.

    Have you ever gotten malware?

Malware has existed since the beginning of modern technology, when computers started becoming commonplace in households. As people relied on computers to hold on to the documents they've written, the photo's they've taken, and the software they use... people have made malware that can do damaging things to those files. In recent decades, some malware files have costed billions of dollars in damages to not only home computers, but also servers and even some US government facilities have been affected. Viruses are a type of malware. Worms are a type of malware. Trojans are a type of malware. Spyware is a type of malware. Ransomware is a type of malware. Have you ever gotten affected by malware of any kind?
  7. So, I've heard a lot of bad things about Bethesda in the past couple of months. They apparently released the newest game in the Fallout franchise and it was apparently a pile of dog shit on fire. I've never played any Fallout games because I'm not a fan of the Fallout franchise. It just does not seem all that interesting to me. The only reason why I'm mentioning Fallout at all is because I am aware that Bethesda owns both Fallout and Doom. So what's my concern here? Basically, I'm worried that Doom Eternal will be disappointing. I'm seriously concerned about whether or not Bethesda is going to fuck up Doom Eternal. Just imagine that the awesome trailer with gameplay footage from August of 2018 ended up being the only parts of the game that were good, and the rest of the game was like a corn dog but with shit instead of meat. And it'll spawn the thought: "Wow, what a great concept utterly shattered by bad development." because we saw the awesome-looking realistic city on fire in the trailer and the destructive demons.

    Fire at Kyoto Animation Studio

Before I get started with the news, I would just like to say that as a fan of anime and manga myself, I have been crying ever since I heard the news this morning. I can't fucking stop with all the tears and my eyes are as red as a tomato right now. So as many of you may have heard, there was a fire at one of Japan's greatest animation studios today. If you're familiar with such anime as "K-On", "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", "Nichijou", "Lucky Star", or "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid", you'll be familiar with this particular studio. Well, somebody set fire to the studio, causing (as of the time of this writing) 34 deaths and 36 injuries, along with sadness from millions of anime fans across the globe. The perpetrator's motives for causing this horrific act of undeserved terrorism have not been revealed yet (as of the time of this writing).

    Fire at Kyoto Animation Studio

Are you talking about https://twitter.com/jashin_slayer_ ? They've been going around on Twitter laughing at the victims of the fire, calling KyoAni's anime "garbage", and attacking people who are upset about the fire. I've tried reporting him many times and it isn't working. This post was totally not made because I am deeply upset about this person and I am totally not trying to spread more attention in order to get more people to report him. I'm totally not trying my absolute fucking hardest to get him banned from Twitter.

Tim Willits to Leave id Software

I wonder how many of the id software personnel that joined before John Romero left in 1996 that are still with id software today are left?

Oh hell no, I wouldn't bang her! I'm not into real-life OR realistic-looking women.

How were the audio/sound effects made?

Can anyone find the specific audio file of the girl that was used for the Arch-Vile?
  16. I know, but I really have no other option to use at this point. I've tried search engines like DuckDuckGo before but they don't display all search results.

Do's and Don't's when making your first WAD

DO NOT SPEND A MERE WEEK ON YOUR MAP. I made that mistake, and I regret it. I thought that if I spent enough time on one particular map (without many breaks), I could get make more progress in a shorter amount of time. Speaking of which... DO NOT RUSH YOURSELF. I made that mistake, and I regret it. I thought that if I spent a large amount of time making a map (without many breaks), I could get the map done in 7 days. Speaking of which... DO NOT KEEP GOING IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU NEED A BREAK. I made that mistake, and I regret it. I thought that if I didn't take too many breaks, I could get the map done in a short amount of time. All 3 of those mistakes I made (and many more), is what led to my map becoming a failure. And I never made a map again, which is probably for the best considering my current mentality.
  18. Unfortunately, part of the reason that EA still makes a profit everyday is because... THEIR SPORTS GAMES ARE A HIT AMONG CASUAL GAMERS! These people just play them because they're into sports! They have no idea what goes on behind the scenes with the developers who made the game, they don't think like that! They don't think to themselves when they see something they think they might like, "Oh, I should probably Google the company's name to check if they're pieces of shit or not!", no! They just buy the game, and EA earns more money that they don't deserve! THAT is why EA still exists. Because people still buy their garbage.

I Want To Try Out The Original Doom 4

If it is footage of an unfinished version of an unreleased game, then maybe somebody should leak the unfinished game. Even if it's shit (which it probably is), preservation of history is a good thing imho.

What would be your ideal doom movie?

A good Doom movie is something that Hollywood won't allow! If you want to work together with one of the major studios to make a movie based on a videogame, you're going to have to allow SEVERE COMPROMISE, with many unnecessary changes being made!
  22. You own Megaton? I'm jealous of you! I wish I had it... I've read that Megaton edition has not only Duke Nukem 3D Episodes 1-4, but also, the expansion packs! I would love to have Megaton, but I don't think I'll ever get it...
  23. Let me tell you that LGR is a HUGE fan of Duke Nukem, idk about Gmanlives because I don't watch Gman's content, but LGR is probably the biggest Duke fan on the Internet. He does a great impression of Duke Nukem (some people believe that his impression of Duke Nukem is better than Jon St. John himself), he owns probably every Duke-related merchandise (in fact, he recently bought an EXTREMELY RARE knock-off of Duke Nukem called "Duke Screw'em 38D", this much I found out because he recently posted about it on Twitter), and often references Duke Nukem in his videos.
  24. Yeah, but I too was scammed. I've since learned that Megaton Edition is a lot better, but they don't sell that anymore because of Gearbox. And I don't feel like pirating it either.
  25. You got scammed out of your money by an inferior port too? Damn, life sucks.
