    Great horror single level pwad. the new monsters are excellent, the tweaks you made to the old monsters work very well with the level. Crouching and jumping are required in this map so make sure you have those controls mapped or use a source port that supports it otherwise 1/3 into the maps going to be impossible. The overall atmosphere of the game is nice and very suspenseful. my hands were shaking at certain parts but, in a good way. Nice balance of jump scares and atmospheric induced gloom and fear. Theres not much replay value but with single level PWADS there usually never is. I would have liked to see more enemies especially in hell section. Theres plenty of them but there's either a big sprawling section of hell with only a few and then a clump of them in another section. Thats the only critique I have. I do recommend this WAD

    Is there any weapons mod where the weapon load out changes per level? I think that would be a really cool element of challenge to a map set. Forcing the player to familiarize themselves with the new weapons and quickly. I know there is Reelism but thats more like nazi zombies.

    Help installing Doom on Mac

    1. Ive been running 4.2 dev models on my MBP 2015 no problems. I only get problems when the levels are really complex and theres a lot of shit going on the screen. 2. Depending on what macbook pro you have id suggest seeing if you can turbo boost it and download a program called turbo booster pro swticher. I really do suggest buying it(10 USD) because, you can tell it to automatically turn on with certain apps like i have it to turn on when i open GZdoom. 3. Its all down to you're hardware specs and optimizing your computer and Gzdoom settings. Make sure you dont have any high memory programs running in the background and close all windows that you are currently not using. Once you finish that start tweaking GZdoom settings. 4. Ive found that ive never had a noticeable difference with screen size and resolution so whatever its on should be fine. 5. Texture filtering is set to none because, i like the. blocky aspect and its less the cpu has to render. Every other setting is just tweak it till you like the way it works and performs well. If you take the time to set the settings right you can get it to run almost flawlessly on a macbook pro using the latest versions.

  7. How do people edit other people's work? I know this might seem like a stupid question but, id like to get started with modding and idk it feels like it would be easier starting with a barebones mod someone made. Can i start modding and then show the creator what I've done or ask the person for permission first. Ive seen on some forum people doing it both ways and wanted to go about this the proper way. Thanks in advance for all your help.

    couldnt reversing and lowering the pitch of the lost soul attack sound work as well?

    The reason for them not firing in the pit is because if you go a certain route and avoid the room with the stairs and the shit ton of lost souls or the courtyard area with the secret full of lost souls due to hardware limitations of the time and no to completely overwhelm the player there is a 21 lost soul per map limit therefore pain elementals cant spawn lost souls unless the number is less that 20.
