    Any accurate bullet hole decals?

Sgt Mark made a bullet decal add-on a while back that goes for that look. https://www.moddb.com/games/doom/addons/simple-better-decals-for-gzdoomzandronum

The Official 'Trying to Find a Specific WAD' Thread

I remember playing this map that starts with Wolfenstein SS in a tech base that acts as a level select hub for smaller Doom maps. I probably still have it, I just have no clue what it was called.

    Post your Doom textures!

Sure. I'm pretty sure this is the final one I settled on. (I have a bad habit of not properly saving my WIP sprites)

    Post your Doom textures!

I made this for a personal test map and thought I'd share it. Send me link to your map if you use it. I'd love to see where it ends up.
  5. Congratulations on the release! If we were ever going to get a Jazz Jackrabbit 3D, this is what it should have been! Can't wait to play more of it!

They're not bad or impossible encounters. They're just relatively common and kinda boring to me. The Arch-vile can be used better in my opinion.

Just the top of my head: Plutonia map 3 : Small room with no cover and a Baron of Hell and Chaingunner for good measure. TNT Evolution map 18? : (Can't look it up right now) Traps you in a small locked room and teleports multipule Arch-Viles in on top of you. (Thankfully you have a BFG by then.) Scythe map 21 : Early hell levels locks you in a circular room with a Archive and no cover.

You got me all wrong. The Arch-Vile is a great monster and counterplaying his flame attack is essential. It's their placement and usage I hate. 75% of Arch-Vile encounters look like this. This isn't fun! Just use the Ol' Archy differently. For example: The player walks into a sizable room full of cover, plenty of zombiemen, and a key at the end. Kill the zombiemen, pick up the key, and then BOOM! Two Arch-Viles teleport in start resurrecting zombies! Now you're dashing from cover to cover attacking the two Archviles, all while they are flanking you and resurrecting zombieman to act as meat shields and plink at your health. That's a proper Arch-Vile fight!

It's not a challenge to beat an Ach-Vile in a large open arena with little to no cover. Best case scenario, I cheese the whole fight by hiding behind a scrap of map geometry. Worse case scenario, I brute force my way through and lose at lest 50% of my health in the process. Both options aren't fun. (Edit) Just to clarify, this Arch-Vile usage is boring, not the enemy.
  10. Glad to finally see Shrine here! Can't wait for Saturday!

Not able to pickup my custom weapon

You set the pickup to the hud weapon sprite which is floating some where above or below you in game. You need to add in a pickup sprite (I made this one if you want to use it) between the SS_Start and SS_End, name it something like TSTSA0, and center it using the sprite orientation in offset. After that, change in the decorate code Spawn: Spawn: TSTG A -1 to TSTS A -1 Stop Stop That should make it work.
  12. Not really a secret or obscure hints, but they're pretty useful. 1.The berserk pack damage boost lasts for the whole level, not just until the red screen fades. 2. The chainsaw isn't just a gimmick. It can effectively dispatch pinkys and cacodemons. (It's also pretty effective against mancubus and revenants too, but they may get a hit in.)
