ive been messing around making a few doom midis, Some are finished, most are still WIP. The newest one "Coming Down Hard Doom Style" I started probably an hour ago upon making this post, what do yall think? not sure why it does it, but the midi export puts them in a different sound font, like shit goes missing or sounds off, i even tried putting it into a doom level and yeah. its weird. i just did mp3 to make sure they stayed what i made them

The Midi in question im deeming "Correction Course" I made the Intro and the main riffs, and i sent it over to a buddy of mine "LQP" (Y'know) and he added the drums and "Solo" section! (The zip has both a video and MIDI dude to the midi switching sound fonts at the very begining, dont know how to fix that...) Midi mp3.zip

so im taking a stab at making midis, and I have 1 dully complete one, and would like opinions on it. I feel like the drop off should be in another level, but for my first one I wound say the "Flow" is too bad (note I am going to have video as I dont want people using my file) Midi.zip

Theres no soulsphere anywhere, am I not supposed to combine the Wad and PK3 into GZDoom????

can someone point me in the right direction, i just re-downloaded GZ Doom, played through the level (knowing there SHOULD be a lot more according to the hype) but I killed all 27 monsters, got all the key cards....and nothing, even interacted with ALL the walls, WHERE DO I GO?! WHAT DO I DO?! I WANT THE MORE!

Hello, I know I've posted about this before , but I've only got 1 response, and I guess I'm looking for other opinions (kind of like taking a sick pet to different vets if you will.) I was working on some maps a while ago and wiped my PC, in a panic to see if I could recover some files I downloaded some sort or recovery program, and got my wads back...or so I thought. I got them back, and they were still recognized as .WAD files, but I started booting them up and nothing was there. (it was being treated like and empty level) so I figured I'd boot them up in UDB...nothing it was saying make sure its a wad file, so i tried other editors, and still nothing. someone reached out and told me they're corrupted (no duh) Would anyone else be able to take a look at these and in some way make them in ANY WAY usable, the one wad was probably my most ambitious one i was hoping to do something with, and once I lost it, I just lost all drive and ambition towards mapping. There's a file attached that all the corrupted wads (The two I'm more interested in is Hellish Escape, and New Re Map Thing) Corrupted Files.zip

There's been a breakthrough, I decided to look through my attachments rather than my posts, and turns out I actually have the wad file known as "Hellish Escape" fully playable as it was an early build of that level, and I am now back to working on it after 4 years ☺️🥲😁

Hello, would anyone be able to answer this, I've tried everything I can to align it, and I can't seem to get it. The midi I have made (keep in mind I've tried with both midi and MP3) doesn't seem to want to loop properly, no matter which rendition I put in to the ward, there is always about half a second of a gap between the end and the start of the song. How would I go about fixing this, what I have to do it within the program I made the song in, or is it something in doom, I'm assuming I would have to do within SLADE or something... Hey there, so I have a question. Yes I know that the main souce port for MP is Zandronum, but zandronum just feels weird (since ive played so much GZDoom) so is there either (A.: a way to make Zandronum feel/look lik GZDoom? or (B.: a separate source port that runs on GZDoom but for MP????

Hi, so I know next to nothing on Scripting, but I know that in order to do cooler things for my maps, scripting can help. What are some basic and helpfull scripts that you guys use, and what do they do? (If possible point me in the right direction to learn how to script)

So i had a bunch of doom wads that I had to restore from a previous pc reset. I got the files, it says there's still memory in them, but when I boot them up in GZ, AND in Doombuilder it says there's no maps in the WAD, can anyone help with this? I added the file to show what I mean Possible corrupted files.zip

Okay, NOW im interested, that info is really interesting, like that blew my mind. especially the fallout image you said about, cause im not that sophisticated with mapping, so how that appeared there, i have no clue, but uh, thanks anyway! like, actual thanks for explaining each file

So i want to make a room that makes the player clear the room, before making a keycard appear, but I duck ass at scripting, how would this be done? Ex. ( player fights like 15 monsters, and the last one dies, and makes the key card appaear)

Now which part of the script would I change so that there could be more enemys than you spawned? also, how would I make a script that opens a door, after that last demon is killed, and does the same thing again? sorry if these are considered easy questions, im still semi new at mapping, and I know close to nothing with scripting

SO I know that Zandronum has a multiplayer server selector, but is there another version of that for GZDoom? for some reason Zandronum just feels weird

so upon looking around, I cant seem to find anyhting on a '93 variant of the marauder, besides that Fan-Made sprite of the marauder. so if anyone know something, do any of you know of a marauder mod for the OG doom? if i knew how to sprite, and mod i would do it myself but... that's a hard nope. Any of you know anything, or any enemy like the marauder for OG doom???

No, not call of duty style, if you were going to make doom (1993) have a in depth story, how would you connect it? Doom, Doom II, TNT, Plutonia? or would you arrange if far differently, asking for maybe a future project. plus lets see how people differ themselves

so I'm working on a wad, and I have some items in a lava pool, although I'm not to sure if this is possible, but I want them to bob up and down, and I'm not sure if there's a setting i can turn on, or if its a line of code. ( but its doom, so anythings possible). any ideas on how this would be possible?

so Im going along with the idea of making "Myst" in Doom and I've tried to pull off the endless ocean look at The Dock, but kinda cringe, anyone know of a skybox thats got an ocean look to it??? (picture for reference of what I have)
