I really enjoyed WolfenDoom, and with the full release of Hedon about a week ago, it's looking to be another impressive mod.

I actually hope the movie is good. Doom deserves a redeeming entry from the flop that was the first movie.

oh my favorite is when a Lost Soul casually wanders in to your FOV just as you let one loose. Fun times!

I forgot to mention its efficacy against crowds of zombiemen and imps as well. Though I wouldn't say it's too OP, it's reload speed balances it's power imo.

It's my go to weapon of choice for Lost Souls and Pinky's!

I like to think that Doomguy is actually dead from the beginning, having died during the initial invasion or at the end of E1M8. What we experience through his eyes is his personal purgatory.

Is v1 of this still around? People say the blood mist effects looked better in that version.

As far as I can tell, you don't actually 'install' GZDoom. I can't say as to how stable any saved games from an older version would be running in a newer version, as I generally just start fresh. It eliminates all doubt with compatibility and provides a good excuse to trek through hell again.

Has anyone successfully gotten the unofficial Lost Episodes expansion to work with GZDoom? (JPTR_V40.WAD) Is there some other alias it recognizes, or am I just wasting time? Apologies if this is a common subject.

I can run it like that sure, but I'm just wondering why it doesn't pick it up in GZDoom in the list of available WADS to play. I see everything except for that one.

I second backing up your WADS. Google Drive works for backup too.

I just set the environment variable 'DOOMWADDIR' to point to a folder I have with every main WAD file. This mostly circumvents any issue with locating WAD files for good. This includes future releases of GZDoom. Just ask the Google how to set environment variables.
