  1. Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars. Gay men. Heh.

Seriously, did you guys notice the gay guy on the train. He was looking for his "partner" who was a guy? I thought this was a nice touch. Especially for Melfice. Any thoughts?

(I'm not posting this as a joke, I really thought it was cool that they included somethingthat most other games would shun. It ads to the real factor.) Please don't flame. Heh.

  4. A week ago if you'd have seen me you would have seen; a long untamable hair, baggy jeans, destroyed DC's footware, XXL T-shirt (on a S body) and a faded black hoody.

Well I lost a game of poker with my dad, (My 4-Aces against his Royal Flush--Texas Hold'em) and now I'm yearing plain shirts, ties, Loake footware, sport jackets, trousers and (my personal favourite) The Trilby (hat).

Sadly my hair could not be present to witness the transformation, it's sacrifice shall be remembered.

Personally I enjoy my new look, it looks respectable and it feels great. I enjoy walking down the street and getting respect from the elderly and having the youths stare in disbelief.
Even if they laugh; their opinions aren't important anyway.

Has anyone else undergone such a transformation?

I just want to express the fact that I hate n00bs that post links to files at this "File Planet" site... this site is GAY... it puts spyware on your computer, and requires you to submit your personal information so that you can get "Special Offers" from their "Affiliates".

The same goes for a site called Gamespot.com ... they make you sign up for downloads.

Serious gamers use better sites that dont have the B.S. attached. I use 3DGamers.com

I use Opera 7.51... so I dont have to worry about spyware. It still tics me off when I find out you have to sign up for somthing, because I generally provide ficticous emails (or a spam-dedicated email account)

... its generally a bad idea to sign up for anything online, especially if you can google it somewhere else and get it without giving personal info.

I once remember a game that required you to give your credit card number out, just to download the demo version. The demo version is suppost to be free, and to charge for a demo version is against the law (to my knowledge).

Which brings up the File Planet issue. Why have they not got sued yet over their Pay-for-download service. They are hosting files, and charging people to download it. If I find a file I create on File Planet, I will be P.I.S.S.E.D.

    I get pissed easily, anyhow.

I hate the trend people are going at with Windows Media Player 9, and websites like Launch, etc... require this spyware to be installed to view the music video. This, unfortantly, encourages me to use other 'methods' of retrieving videos.

Why do people speed? There is a highway called "Bruce R. Watkins Drive" (or US-71) in our city. The posted speed limit is 55 MPH. Everyone (or at least 85%) of the drivers drive 60, and 6 out of 10 drive 65 or more through this freeway. Acknowledged, it is designed for 65 MPH/70 MPH zones, since it is Interstate standard on-ramps/off-ramps, and up to 6 lanes divided at times (mostly 4 lanes, though)... but still... its as if people are either blind or just cant read shit.

I switched from driving this route to driving the East I-435 loop around town out to DeVRY this term (This is my 4th term at DeVRY)... and its alot less stressfull. Although there are still people that speed, they are usualy going 70 MPH in a 65 MPH zone, or 75 MPH in a 70 MPH zone (Which I do if everyone else is - just to avoid feeling like a grandma.)

Of course, there are times when people pass me up SOOOO much that it makes me pissed, and I end up flooring it to speeds in excess of 85 MPH (Once, in my ex-'95 Neon, up to 110 MPH). Luckly, I haven't got a ticket for the few times I have done that.

THE REASON I SPEED IS TO SHOW PEOPLE HOW DUMB THEY ARE WHEN THEY DO IT.

  8. i recieved some cds i ordered recently. while i'm waiting for some audio files to convert, here are my initial thoughts:

Negative Reaction - Everything You Need for Galactic Battle Adventures: pretty good doom metal. lots of star wars references. the vocals are really fucking nasty, and the samples that preface every song seem totally arbitrary (i.e. a clip from a western movie starts off the song 'spaceport').

Cock and Ball Torture/Last Days of Humanity Split CD: i'd never heard either of these bands, though cbt are pretty notorious and i'd read some reviews. it seems like pretty standard grind. i prefer cbt over ldh, because they have a lot more of a groove, which is sometimes comical. the vocals are pitch-shifted and sound kind of like pig grunts. the lhd cover is a photo of a man's head after being shot with a shotgun.

Decomposing Serenity/Sugar Plum Fairy Split CD: more grind, this time with drum machines. the vocals vary between the ultra-low pitchshifted stuff and a high rasp. not bad.

Decomposing Serenity/Mortuary Hacking Session Split CD: see above. all the homemade grind is kind of blurring together. it's good, but there's not much to say. i'll probably buy some more decomposing serenity. they're interesting.

Spinegrinder - A Visual Symphony of Horror: grindcore again. this is better produced than the last two splits. the vocals seem to be either phased heavily or pitched up and down randomly, which is pretty interesting. one of the song titles is "hexen bis aufs blut gequalt". another exploding head cover.

Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis - Satyriasis and Nymphomania: the band name alone makes this worth having, probably. this is goregrind from mexico. it has some good mid-tempo metal riffs to break up the barrage, but the production needs work. cover is of the interior of a rib cage, with lots of bright yellows and reds. the inside tray (behind the cd itself) is a collage of various porn images, including gay and bestiality.

Merzbow - Collapse 12 Floors: i've been looking forward to this one, but it's probably my least favorite of the merzbow albums i currently own. it's still good, but puroland is great. it has some nice quiet moments. it kind of sounds like newer xenakis compositions at times.

Cemment - Donor: this is industrial-psychedelic-grind from japan. distorted grunting vocals, occasional flanged piano solos, lots of great riffs and solos. the inside booklet has the band name in floating 3d tie-dyed letters over a backdrop of peaceful clouds, and some band photos in a bright red filmstrip frame. the other side of the booklet is pitch black. i'd buy more of their stuff.

Masonna - Noisextra: this isn't as good as inner mind mystique, but it's pretty good. two loooong tracks. the fact that it's all his voice impresses me. i might like this more than the merzbow i just got. i dunno.

Goat - England's Satanic Mills: 24 tracks of noise. pretty good and varied. the booklet is photocopied and the cd is a burned cdr, as is the case with the next two albums. i'd buy more.

Xombie - s/t: long analog distorted bass drones. they're pretty peaceful to listen to while you're driving, but i couldn't sit in front of the stereo for an hour with them.

Xome - Itch: varied noise. it's pretty good.

The Bodybag Romance - Gincrusher: this might be my favorite of the whole lot. packaged with all sorts of cool handmade stuff. it's kind of black/death/grind. they cover a song by mountain. i'd definitely buy more of their stuff.

i got all the above cds for a little under 100$, which is pretty good.

      Strangers in the Night

A dramatic, inspiring tale of true love found amist the darkness of this world. Strangers is a brave new film from the man who brought us such heart wrechningly provocative films as "Fugly Bitch" and "Run Forest Run". Strangers continues in the trend of slamming us face to face with our fears and confronting the prejudices of this world. "Strangers in the Night" You will never be the same."

      Insomniak calls the film "Disturbing."

      Scuba Steve raves "Awesome."

Bloodshedder calls it "...a truly awe-inspiring performance."

and Danarchy praises the film as "Ahaha. That's a little creepy, but hilarious."

  11. 3:00am in the morning, the roads are dead and what do me and my bro run into on the road? A nice 360 modena, it was at least a 2002. We were at the intersection and the 360 was right beside us. My bro thought it would be fun if tried racing it in our '89 Volvo 740 Turbo.
It comes with turbo stock. But big fucking deal, it's being pitted against a 360 modena. Also for the record I believe street racing is incredibly stupid, but we decided to make an exception in this case. So we rip it off the line, we're way in front of the Ferrari and hit the next red light. The Ferrari catches up with us effortlessly in 2 seconds. He was toying with us,. So we went easier on the acceleration hoping he'd say "fuck it" and rip right past us. But to no avail. We weren't worth the Ferrari's time. Still it was nice staring at 200000 dollars on 4 wheels.

EDIT: One thing that just popped into my head is that a few people from here have asked me recently if I still play Doom. The answer is yes, I still play Doom, as I now moderate the ZDaemon forums and Doom Connector, plus I'm working on UDM3. I also beta-tested Hyena's new One Nerd and His Doom wad, and I have to say that it totally kicks ass. I don't know if he's released it (I've been gone for over a week for other reasons) yet, but if he has, go download it from whereever it may be uploaded.

  19. My friend and I used to joke about cauterizing her ovaries with a red hot poker. One day she was all menstrual and complaining about it, and we were working on proposing solutions. I (maybe it was her) mentioned using a red hot poker to cauterize her ovaries. She cringed when I mentioned it. Then I reminded her we were going for fast food... "French fries!" Her face lightened. I reiterated, "Ovaries!" She cringed. We played that game a few times... Every now and then we'll drag it back out because it's fun, the old times.

You could probably build your own, but expect that to cost twice as much as you'd originally expect, and for a first set, you're probably better off buying the ones on ebay.

But I never did much stilt walking; Unicycling, juggling, and fire breathing were my area of expertise.

Heh, I can only hope to be that coordinated. As I can't trust my life and/or back with something made by myself I'm looking at a pair of dura-stilts used in drywalling that extend from 24-40". Happy Halloween! Think I'll be able to use the while drinking? Costume contests and all...
