  1. I'm looking for a pair od stilts for Halloween, and specifically a pair of ebay that have a maximum height of 40", which would put me at 113" or about 9 1/2 feet tall. They are 129.95, typically $300. Good deal? Anyone else have stilts that could advise me on price and/or how hard it is to walk with them? Obscure, I know.

Don't use hand holds, just have them strap to your leg.

Stilt walking is really easy, took me 5 minutes to learn (no handholds)

You could probably build your own, but expect that to cost twice as much as you'd originally expect, and for a first set, you're probably better off buying the ones on ebay.

But I never did much stilt walking; Unicycling, juggling, and fire breathing were my area of expertise.

Heh, I can only hope to be that coordinated. As I can't trust my life and/or back with something made by myself I'm looking at a pair of dura-stilts used in drywalling that extend from 24-40". Happy Halloween! Think I'll be able to use the while drinking? Costume contests and all...
