SIGIL ,TNT and Plutonia now on DOOM console ports.

I really hope part of the improvements being made is d-pad weapon shortcuts. The main thing that I felt was wrong with the current ports is how slow cycling through weapons is. It legitimately makes harder maps like E4M2 much harder to complete than they should be.

    New mobile ports (iOS, Andriod)

In addition to what you said, I don't know if it's my tablet is slow or something, but I have to double tap slowly in order to trigger auto-fire. It adds to the difficulty of using these ports.
  3. My inner circle are all JRPG/CRPG nerds. They think of me as a simpleton for enjoying FPS games, new and old. "All you do is point and shoot. Boring!", "Where's the story/dialog/character development/etc?", "RPGs are better because they require planning and T H I N K I N G.", "Oh god, you have a powerful gaming PC! Why are you running something that runs on a toaster?", "Oh you! Your gaming tastes have become so simple!", etc. I could keep going. I deal with this on a daily basis.

SIGIL v1.21 - New Romero megawad [released!]

I agree. That and the fact that he's an "influencer" with around 230k subscribers. He's someone people are listening to and potentially basing their buying decisions from. It's important to hold these people accountable when they spread misinformation.

SIGIL v1.21 - New Romero megawad [released!]

So, I just finished Sigil twice so here's my spoiler free review. Finished it once while playing fully vanilla and another with Samsara (as Duke). Both on Ultra-Violence with no mouselook, no jumping, no crouching, etc, since that's how I play. Currently doing a third with MetaDoom just for fun. I thought the level design was incredible. Leagues better than anything I've played up to this point, and I've played a lot of megawads. The eye switch gimmick was a lot of fun. It gave me something to look for constantly rather than having me hump the walls to find secrets as is tradition. Sigil did have a few wall humping secrets, but not too much. I was also surprised by how easy it was. Given how much difficulty some people had, even Gmanlives complaining about the difficulty, I expected something extreme. I think I died only a handful of times. Overall, I think it was fantastic. I hope to see more from Romero in the future. I also hope to see more mappers take inspiration from Sigil so that we can keep getting maps this fun.

I've emailed Romero games about getting the download to Sigil early, and they haven't replied. I emailed them almost two days ago.

That guy has very strange opinions. I wouldn't put much thought into that review, personally.

Check your emails. I just got a shipping confirmation from LRG for my Sigil Big Box.

The Joy of Mapping 6: JOY ETERNAL - RELEASED

Great! I'll go for it then! I've messed around with SLADE, so I'll try that one out first. I'll take some tutorials and see what I can do.

The Joy of Mapping 6: JOY ETERNAL - RELEASED

I'm new here and I'd like to join something like this. I've made mods for Morrowind and Skyrim but never Doom. Maybe if I take some tutorials, I'll be ready by the 17th, but I'm not sure if a total newbie like me would be good enough for a project like this.
