    My newest Doom map

    Hello I'm back with another Doom wad I worked on this one on and off I would like some input in either text or video format of my level I would really like some peoples ideas on what I can improve on. NOTE I only have 2 years experience in mapping so this wont be the best level but this is what I can do This was tested in GZDOOM on UV using the software render also this level is extreamly difficult I will not be mad if you switch it to Hurt Me Plenty I just want some general input on design this one has less switch hunting than my last one this one has inspiration from Plutonia. Play this level like classic Doom so no jumping also this is a Doom 2 level Hope you guys enjoy the level also yes the level name reflects the design flat out SADISTIC SADISTIC.zip

    My newest Doom map

    I tried to go with detail in this one with my year and a half of Doom editing skill with some inspiration coming from Sigil and thanks to Davester2296Covers to allow me to use one of his and CoTeCiO songs for my wad now down to the predictable part which is people willing to test it I have tried to put more detail in it and alot less ammo and health this map was made with GZDOOM in mind so there may be glitches with other ports. So I would like some feedback NOTE I am only a year and a half into Doom editing so do not expect anything to crazy with this map. And it is beatable I did it on Ultra Violence just wondering other peoples take on it and play it like classic Doom no jumping or crouching it is meant to feel like a classic Doom level. Also this is for DOOM 2 NOTE It is inspired by SIGIL don't be suprised when there are some elements from SIGIL in this map COH.zip

    My hardest WAD

    This version is harder and was tested with GZDOOM less overall ammo and health and a few of the general bugs like shotgunners in the Hell Knights but that never happened in GZDOOM should have accounted for all versions not just my own but anyways this new version has less ammo,health and one of the secrets has been fixed it didn't have any items.     I once again find myself going to DoomWorld for criticism on my Doom map to improve myself so I ended up making a single level WAD for Doom 2 I am actually quite proud of but no map is perfect I come here for some things to improve myself in other than the difficulty which yes after a good 3 hours I managed to beat my level after it being made I did it on Ultra-Violence but I did make it so there is differences in the difficulty which I didn't make them before from well laziness but feel free to let loose on my level on what I can improve on thanks.     After what I learned from studying Kappes Buur map design on how he reworked my E3M1 I came up with a new set of designs and tests and something I tried that honestly should be a no brainer make secrets out of reach to try and get the player to explore the map but I tried to implement more lighting rather that the flat brightness level I will be putting a link of the current map when I actually put monsters in it and @boris I will check that article out.

  10. I have been building maps for about 9 months almost when ever I have time every day I am trying to improve myself in Doom editing. I have been watching Youtube channels that review Doom wads to see what makes these wads really good but I feel I am not improving how I would like I mean I am not gonna have the skill that some guy who has been doing this for years would have but anyways things I want tips and improvement on. -Larger maps with more detail -Maps are linear rather than the maze like appearance than what old Doom had I have been looking at my favourite Doom maps for some inspiration such as E2M1 E3M1 E3M3 E1M7 E1M9 MAP09 MAP10 MAP16 If anyone wants to help out you can leave a comment or text me on Discord-Ian#4378

    Ideas and opinions needed for a new megawad

    @MFG38I've been making maps for about 8 months funny thing is the map I put as a download accidentally sent a backup it isnt how the actual levels turned out sure there where some problems like in level 2 where I accidentally set the wrong action also didnt make some doors clear with the keys and fixed some bars since they had no thickness thanks to the people who responded showing what was wrong and they have been fixed I will put out a new version with this stuff fixed.

    Thanks the door problem has been fixed and I applied the advice to a third level thanks and fixed the problems with the previous problems experienced in the original file I may make a new download with these problems fixed.Also made the doors a little less bulky with the 128x32 it is now 128x16

    Thank you guys for the criticism but some of the stuff was already fixed like the teleporters and sky texture was raised but I needed some opinions and I will get right to fixing the things listed.

I am working on a megawad for Doom 1/Ultimate Doom called Stone Of Lucifer I need some level opinions and constructive criticism for the wad itself I will be willing to send the first two levels to access open Episode 3 of Doom and it replaces E3M1 and E3M2.
