  4. Add in rocket and plasma zombies Give the pinky demons gib animations too Change the hell knight sprites to something, anything else. Seriously, keep the attacks, HP, movement and SFX the same, just make it look different to the Baron. Give the arch-vile a melee "push" attack that doesn't hurt, but is dangerous (especially when positioned near inescapable pits, would give a whole new dynamic to them) Make the cyberdemon randomly change firing volleys of one, two or three rockets Give the Icon Of Sin something like Mancubus fireballs from the eyes every now and then (signposted by them starting to glow like two seconds before), or maybe a hitscan attack like the arch-vile's, but insta-death. And give it a horrifically scary bite animation (also insta-death) if you get too close. Oh, and make it bleed instead of bullet puffs when you shoot at it. Make the Pain Elementals not exist
  5. If it were a sequel (which I believe would be cheekily titled Wolf 4D) there would have to include projectile enemies, but what would the nazis throw? Not grenades surely, bouncing mechanics were difficult enough for Quake in '96. Rocks? Treasure? Bones? Chicken drumsticks? Dog shite? The mind boggles. But they definitely would've kept the Death Camtm in, that's fer damn sure
  6. Ain't the worst one either - worst opener, possibly. Certainly very atmospheric, the green-and yellow color scheme is used well, very evil looking, it's the first Doom map to advertise a rock band - and if by your metric of 'best' means 'most difficult', then yeah, everybody's pistol-starting this one, but best of all time? Over Romero's efforts from the same episode? Over the E1 maps, and Containment Area, and The Living End, over HABITAT? I'll reiterate my "aw hell no" comment with gusto and the quickness. But I may indeed be moved to write a textwall about Thy Flesh Consumed, the misunderstood episode of UDoom.

  12. I seem to remember in the Doom novel the BFG had 'gyro-stabilizers' which I guess is to help keep it steady/no kickback when fired, and that it had no trigger, you had to squeeze the handle. So there's that. But my pick would be the chainsaw
