  1. I'm currently working on a project that is very story based, and slow paced and I want to be able to make text appear on screen that will help the player understand what is going on; as if the character you're playing as is thinking to himself. Is there anyway to do this?

  3. As the title asks, I'm just looking for someone to make a doom map with. I wanna just pass a map back and fourth and see what we can come up with. There isn't really an idea of where I want it, so I mean if you want to come up with the general idea, we can just go from there :)
  4. So, recently I was on Fl Studio messing with some random Midi's and came across a Doom sounding sound. I slowly turned it into a Tower of Babel-esque song with my own drums and such.   5. As the title asks, how do I make my ceiling not fall down when my platform does? I use GZDoom Builder.
  6. Thanks for the insight! Now, with the Mega Armor secrect: that isnt mandatory. You cross over a line on the edge facing the hallway that opens the door. The secret was just moved back due to me not wanting the player to grab it as soon as he or she spawns in. The missing texture was some skulls from Doom 1 as I use Doom 1 and 2 textures. And with the whole gray thing, I'm not very good at texture design but I have some ideas on what to do actually. Thanks so much man!
  7. @Biodegradable Well, about experience? I have very little. This first map was done by me and someone else as I mentioned before and designing a whole level in general is a lot for me. Textures-wise: I'm not really that good at that, but I am getting better. It went from a plain 3 textures through the whole map, to this. I will fix those bugs and definitely see what I can continue to do throughout it. Thanks for playing man!

  9. Well, I've finished editing it again and I personally think this is as good as it gets for me. (on this map atleast.) I had a lot of fun learning new things and really just making this map so much better. Thank you all for the support and criticism. It's helped me to learn and try new things I wasn't comfortable with. Anyways, here is my final edit on mine and (originally) @cr0ma's map. Hope you all enjoy. Also- Screenshots this time lmao! I'm trying to edit a level I made a while back, but since I used Doom Builder 2 and not GZDoom Builder, It's apparently stuck in Doom: Doom 2 (Hexen) Format, but I need it in GZDoom: Doom 2 (UDMF) Format to do what I need to do. How do I change that? Or rather, is it even possible at this point?
