After many trials and error, I finally found the port that sounds the best to me.  I will be using this one for good.  This version is when GZDOOM switched to OpenAL and ditched FMOD.  The OpenAL in this version sounds perfect.

Default Sample Rate.  8 Sound Channels.  640x480 Resolution.

2.0 Stereo speakers.  Not using headphones.

It totally blew my main port away (ZDOOM v2.3.1) and I’m not turning back.  It has toughen up my skills as a DOOM player and will miss it dearly.
