Steele Computer Lab [my first WAD]

Here's my playthrough of each map: Overall, this was a very fun little map set. Impressive for your first wad. I'll have to echo a few of the other commentators here about the ammo situation, but I didn't really mind it. If you wanted to make the maps more challenging you could definitely take a fair bit of ammo out. Not complaining, mind you, just making mention of it. The videos are commentated, so all of my initial thoughts and reactions can be found there. Hope they prove useful to you. Thanks for sharing the maps! Had a great time playing them and definitely looking forward to more from you in the future.

The Breach - 2 Techbase maps

Ok. Here are my playthroughs of both maps. Like I mentioned, I recorded these once already but the mic wasn't working. So not a true FDA. Enjoyable little techbase maps. They definitely seem like they could be the opening maps of an episode.

My 2nd map for Doom 2: UAC-M2 (limit removing)

Well shoot. Apparently my mic wasn't recording when I played through that. There goes all the great color commentary. Ha! Sorry about that.

I'm Also Looking to Play and Record Your Maps 2

Well that's a neat work around. I didn't use a mouse for Wolfenstein when I was a kid but I feel like I always used one for Doom. Can definitely tell it's completely natural for you. Makes your videos that much more impressive. Thanks for sharing the story.

My 2nd map for Doom 2: UAC-M2 (limit removing)

Here's a video of my first playthrough. I spent a lot of time exploring a bit, so it's kinda long. I really enjoyed this map. Didn't find all the secrets, unfortunately, so I missed some amount of the monsters. Really well designed and fun level. Did you make the music yourself? It was awesome.

I'm Also Looking to Play and Record Your Maps 2

Ah ha! I kinda figured you didn't play with a mouse, but I wanted to be sure. How did you land on this configuration?

I'm Also Looking to Play and Record Your Maps 2

@HAK3180 I'm not sure if you've ever mentioned this, but what are your key bindings and mouse configuration, if you don't mind my asking?

[WIP] Doom II: Annie - Episode 2 - UPDATE 09/21/2019!

This looks absolutely amazing. The last screenshot you posted actually had me say 'wow' out loud.

    Simple as Hell (WIP)

The automap screenies look amazing. Definitely looking forward to plaything this whenever you get around to releasing it.

Subverted - First map (Limit Removing)

@Pierrot Glad you enjoyed the video. The traps were very effective and I can't blame you for laughing. I am very easily startled, if that bit with the Archvile didn't tip you off. It was a really good map. Can't wait to see what else you come up with. Are you going to continue with the Plutonia theme for a bit?
  11. Sounds good. I'm going to try them both out once I finish this map. Thanks for the links.
  12. @boris am using DB2, yes. I hadn't realized there was a new one. I will have to grab that. Thanks for the heads up! Is GZDB harder to use than DB2? It's a different interface, I'm sure, but reasonably user friendly? @Mr.Rocket No worries, man. It was something small and stupid. No idea how I managed to fluff that up, but it was an easy fix.

Subverted - First map (Limit Removing)

Really enjoyed playing this map. It definitely had the Plutonia vibe going for it but it wasn't nearly as punishing or cheap with the chain gunners. Solid encounters, a few good surprises, and really good progression. Really nothing bad to say about it. I didn't find all the secrets, unfortunately. I'll have to play through again and see if I can get the rest of them. Really looking forward to more. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Got it! That one tiny little vertice was the culprit. So many different angles with those steps and all I didn't even notice. Thanks so much!
