Yes, it's just shameless bragging, and no, don't ask me to try to convince them to publish Doom 3 in Japan.

And Quast, do you mean to imply that some other company is publishing it in Japan then? I was sure it was never happening.
No, not quite. Read my post again. Capcom only knows how to milk creamy megaman, RE and street fighter shlop...how could you "convince them" to publish a game they don't even have the rights to?

Sorry if it wasn't clear that I was joking.
As for your post, since I was talking about Capcom localizing and publishing a game in a specific region, them having the "rights" is irrelevant. They would make a deal with Id, just like Activision did, and publish the game in Japan. It's common for Capcom (they're publishing a lump of crap called Grand Theft Auto: Something-or-Other right now), and it's common for Doom (Softbank has published almost all of the console Dooms, including SNES and 64, and I forgot who published the PC Dooms with translated manuals, but somebody did). So my question about your original post was reasonable and justified I think.
Of course I don't mean to imply that it's something that would happen, with Capcom or any company. The game wouldn't sell enough in Japan on the PS2, much less the struggling Xbox, to justify translating all that text (and the game would be almost unplayable without readable text or significant gameplay changes, unlike the original Dooms) and marketing it. But if Capcom wanted to be idiots and put up all the cash I don't see why id would say no, so hypothetically it's a possibility.
