No, and the people that actually would enact such a thing don't think so either. Paulson isn't getting a blank check, there will be oversight and other protections.
Personally I'm against the idea of a bailout. I think if a company fucked itself over giving out loans to customers who couldn't afford them they should be taken to task for it. -

Personally I'm against the idea of a bailout. I think if a company fucked itself over giving out loans to customers who couldn't afford them they should be taken to task for it.The problem with that is if they go down, a lot of other people go down with them. Moral of the story: fuck up so royally that others can't afford to lose you.
Hopefully, we'll move to a point in a few years where one company can't get into so many areas that losing it would be catastrophic. - Show next comments 3 more
