@Horus Thanks for the play through, going rk or bk is pretty much the same, but you can get both without alerting the monsters, giving the bfg early if one wanted to, all my pinkies in the room with the YK doors in-fought too much XD, i may need to do something to correct this. I understand the confusion with the secret, unfortunately i would have to give up a sector elsewhere to accomplish giving the secret its own sector. -
Well my friend, everyone has their own way. Some people will just start making rooms then they can come up with a map from that, some people draw it out. I use a combination method of both sometimes. I've also tried mapping by creating and environment first, ie I build a big outdoor natural looking area, then add a progression to environment.

Pretty much iwads are official id releases, most custom wads use the base resources from the iwads.

Thy flesh consumed is my favorite of the iwad levels, even the ones that everyone else shuns.

@Clippy UDMF is another mapping format, it allows for a whole lot of non vanilla stuff, 3d sectors, use flats and wall textures interchangeable, you can scale textures to fit and move / align flats, you can have lines that are on a smaller grid than 1x1, as well as a lot of scripting stuff, dynamic lights, you can make it such that any action can be locked by any keycard or skull key, tag it so an action doesn't happen until a specific a monster is killed, you can even make slopes... i could go on for a long time here. I guess the big thing about it is that it also saves all the map information as .txt file as well. I've made a couple maps using it. It is easy to get lost in all the features but it allows for a lot more flexibility in terms of what you can do on your map. It can be a bit overwhelming though with all the new features. Oh one other thing i wanted to mention, about the current pandemonium mapping contest, you can make your DM map in vanilla and it will work in all the MP ports. All you have to do is add DM starts like you have done before on your map you made for the last event.

Hey everyone, Bump for an update, I went ahead and added some of the plutonia waterfall textures to the texture pack, mainly for the waterfall. I have added some waterfall textures (i decided it better to not use plutonia textures) If you used them my bad. I have linked the updated file in the topic post. Feel free to grab it if you want to use any of those textures. Excited to see what everyone creates :) -

@aletheos eberlain i believe only zandro does, so i would avoid them, if you want to be safe you can map in vanilla or Boom those should work with all the ports. There is limited Zdoom(hexan) format in all 3 of the ports, but some have more features than others, ie 3d floors. If you want to try it in that format, be sure to test it in all three to be sure it works. ZDoom (Hexan) format is supported by all 3 ports -

@Horus wow its exciting to hear your commentary! I am used to quiet videos from you, I think the commentary adds a lot to the play through! @BluePineapple72 The jumping thing can be fixed by disabling it in the final release if you care to do so. Also RNJesus was taking the wheel in the elevator fight XD -

Hey played the played your previous version, This is a fun and cool looking level, i can't wait to play the finished product. I really dig your cavernous style and the dynamic parts where the level changes before your eyes, its really really cool. -

@yakfak I still have a bunch more to do, the the most recent one I'm recording (darkmaster's Map) so hard that i had to stop midway through because i had been going at it for almost at hour. Also i know you've made a lot of midis, not just for this mapset, do you have a library or anywhere they can all be found? I would like to listen to some of them and maybe use some in my levels but they require some effort to locate :S -
