  1. I want to make a wad that is heavily inspired on the Old School Resident Evil games, and I wanted the ability to save to only be in a select few points like the PS1 Resident Evil trilogy, is there a way for me to do that? Thank you.

LINK TO THE WAD This is my very first WAD Project of many test projects i´ve made years ago, so this is my very first serious project and i´ve been working on this for about a year and two months now. (Development started in October 25th 2019), the first of three Episodes i´m working on. It´s a 10 map long WAD with two of them being Secret levels with difficulty reminiscent of The Plutonia Experiment from Final Doom, i even (sort of) made a "plot" for it And it´s just my overall passion project. I´m aware some maps are pretty jarring visually but this is my very first time in actually attempting to make Doom maps and i´m learning as i´m developing it. This wad uses the Doom 2 iwad and no other iwad. The levels are balanced in all difficulties. Features two brand new difficulties, inspired on Heaven or Hell and Hell and Hell modes from Devil May Cry 4 and 5. All maps are filled to the brim with monsters to kill and a lot of secrets too. Featuring Textures from Plutonia. One new powerup: QUAD DAMAGE. Features Quake II music as the soundtrack. THE PLOT: Basically it takes place after Plutonia´s events, Doomguy finds out that there are still demons going to earth and killing every last remaining human in there, in the middle of the chaos a castle appears in the middle of nowhere, and there´s a demon that is responsible for opening the gates to earth from hell for another attempt of domination, being aware of it Doomguy storms into the castle with 3 marines that were some of the last remaining alive Marines, 2 died to the traps of the castle and 1 died to a shotgunner next to you and you grab his gun and you know what to do, what you have to do is RIP AND TEAR until it is done and it end the invasion once and for all. -------------------------------------------- I made this wad with Vanilla gameplay completely in mind so the recommended settings are: Mouselook off. Jumping off. Crouching off. Compatibility settings on Doom (Strict). Lights Enabled for a neat look. TESTED WITH GZDOOM, ZDOOM AND ZANDRONUM, THIS WAD WILL NOT WORK ON PRBOOM PLUS OR GLBOOM PLUS NEITHER CHOCOLATE DOOM OR CRISPY DOOM AS IT WAS ALL MADE IN UDMF FORMAT. And also, i want to thank these people for making my dream of making an actual WAD possible, i think it wouldn´t be possible if it wasn´t for them: Toilet_Wine_Connoisseur (For contributing as a mapper). iYago (For contributing as a mapper). UPDATES - Fixed Cyberdemon Health in E1M8 (Patch Date: March 13th 2021) - Fixed Next Level location after Sandy's Revenge, no longer puts the player in Tricks and Traps (Patch Date: June 10th 2022) -------------------------------------------- A few screenshots that may catch your interest.
