lobo, i think this is the problem. in the "EDGE.LOG" file, when i opened that, it look like this: [Log file created at 01:28 PM on 09/Sep/2005] EDGE v1.29 RC#2 compiled on Jul 24 2005 at 13:31:31 EDGE homepage is at http://edge.sourceforge.net/ EDGE is based on DOOM by id Software http://www.idsoftware.com/ from .\EDGE.CFG it stopped right there and did not go to the EDGE main menu. it just crashed like that. one more thing, lobo, i would like for you to look at the file, "dxdiag.txt", but i cant put it here. i may have to e-mail it to you to have a look at it.

its weird, lobo. RC1 worked on me but not RC2 :(

for me, it just crash on me when i start it. when i go to the EDGE.LOG, all it said is the EDGE.CFG and nothing else :( im running EDGE on DOOM2.WAD.

even downgrading it to .63a its still freezes on me the 2nd time i run it. so basically im out of luck :( i may have to dig deeper through to my windows system files and update them manually. thats just my last resort solution if any of them methods i tried didnt work as usual.

so what do you think is the problem with my zdoom? btw the other comp is loaded with win xp home but i often use the win 98 comp for doom and the other one for internet gaming but theres no doom loaded in this comp.

yeah i downloaded the latest version of zdoom in my other comp running win 98 se last week. the 1st time i run it with all the wads and mods i want to play and its working fine. the 2nd time i run it, it freezes in the loading screen. it does that in this comp as well. i had to turn off the comp and do it again. why? is there something that can prevent it?

Nick, I got those links from the Lobo's Robotech TC website, except the CQB mod. I don't know why the Resident Evil: Unleashed website is not working. Probably it's down for a while or the site has changed. Try emailing Corbachu or talk to him personally. He's one of the makers of that mod.

Aftershock, do you have a main website for your new Nightmare Squad? I'm just asking if you have one because I want to see some screenies and/or WIP.

I've also look forward to Ultimate Hell and that other mod, which you take on the British Police and the British Army set in London in the 70s. I forgot what was the name of that mod. BTW, Ultimate Hell looks very promising especially the new enemies.

I have a found a solution to the problem, I think. In Counter DooM, if you turn on item respawn in EDGE, most likely it will crash and display the "P_MobjItemRespawn: No such item type!" message before you go back to the desktop. It's best to turn off item respawn to resolve it. This fix may also work with Earthbound DooM, but I'm not sure that it may resolved the problem.
