    Crispy Doom 5.6.4 (Update: Jan 14, 2020)

Well, I came to the conclusion that trying to run these ports will probably not make my PC explode. Therefore I decided not to worry about the system requirements too much. PS: I hope I didn't annoy you too much with my questions.

And for the rendering part, scene rendering is texture, monster and item rendering, right? I'm not quite sure what does it mean. Oh, and formal means 'official'? I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not sure.

    Crispy Doom 5.6.4 (Update: Jan 14, 2020)

Well, I was worried that it could stress my PC if I'd have it running for a long time. But since you said that GL 2.0 should be enough, I think that I'm good. And I'd also like to know if there are any official minimum system requirements for Crispy Doom, so are there any?

And do you think that OpenGL 2.0 would be enough for the OpenGL scaling without damaging my PC? Also are there any official minimum system requirements for Crispy Doom?

    Crispy Doom 5.6.4 (Update: Jan 14, 2020)

I would like to know if Crispy Doom uses OpenGL. I know that it uses OpenGL for display scaling, but does it use OpenGL for anything else? Also what does it use to render all the other stuff - is it Software, just like in Chocolate Doom or also OpenGL?

    What are you listening to?

I mostly listen to Pendulum/Knife Party, can't get enough of it ever since I discovered it through some CS frag movies :b Also, can you tell me something about the blogs forum? As you can tell I'm new here and I'd like to know more.
  7. Well, take my word with a grain of salt..

I guess it matches the intelligence of my posts. Edit: I like the railgun ammo background :b
  9. I can definitely relate to this, but even though Doom 2 is supposed to take place on earth I can't imagine 'modern' textures or even buildings used in the game. I still feel like the game needs a little bit of that hellish theme, (even if it's not necessarily taking place in hell). Without the grimm look the game wouldn't really fit in with the other Doom games in my opinion. That being said a 'modern' texture pack for Doom 2 would definitely be an interesting thing to look into.

I'm getting some T-Mobile vibes from that white T.

    Chocolate Doom

So is it GL 2.1 and up or GL 1.0 and up? I'm kind of confused right now.

    Chocolate Doom

Even GL version older than 2.1? That'd be cool, but I guess I can't expect much with an archaic PC nowadays :< Edit: Yes, it runs smoothly.

    Chocolate Doom

Well, it works. But I still don't feel comfortable running stuff on a machine which doesn't meet the min. requirements. I almost feel helpless about the fact that my PC isn't good for Doom, lol.

And do you think that OpenGL 2.0 would be enough to run CD with the GL scaling without stressing my PC, or do I need a GPU that supports a newer version of OpenGL?
