  1. I was interested in the unofficial fan-made Wolf3D - 30th Anniversary mod for Wolf3D, but my mouse wasn't working very well within this port. Since I haven't really played the older episodes before, I decided to just start with the Wolf3D Total Conversion mod for ZDoom. Was streaming the first episode as well and it has been a blast so far. It really feels like the original game, but within a modern source port. I was wondering if someone was working on porting these new unofficial episodes for ZDoom as well? If not, I might give it a try. There's a simple tool that can convert Wolf3D maps to Doom wads, but it takes some time to replace textures etc. (Woops, think I posted it in the wrong section, can someone one move this to WADs & Mods?)

    Completely closed self-referencing sector?

    Omg guys, thanks a lot for all the comments! I finally figured out how to do this. This was the real solution! I just had to manually set the coordinates and the linedefs won't merge, unless I move the vertices around again. I remember this very clearly! I started with DCK in the 90's then DEU, all in MS Dos. DEU was a lot easier, I believe for DCK you always had to manually merge the linedefs.
  3. How to create a completely closed self-referencing sector for windows like they did in TNT: Evilution? I've already successfully created a self referencing sector, but I'm not sure how to make one without any gaps in it. I've to leave space between the inner and outer sector for it to work. When I open Map02 from TNT and inspect the windows created in there, it looks like they're completely closed, but whenever I try to move a vertex, things start to merge. So I'm guessing the sectors aren't actually closed, but just aligned in the same positions? If that's the case, then how to align something(overlap) without merging?
  4. I'm trying to stream Doom(Official Bethesda Port) from my Android(12) phone, but the internal audio is not being captured. Any other game on my phone works just fine, using the Streamlabs, or Twitch App. Anyone know how to fix this?

    I think I made it a little too complicated for myself. What I was trying to achieve was a simple window that could block everything. I think I've tried it before with a regular sector where I gave the bottom the same height as the ceiling and then gave the linedefs no texture, but when I closed the sector on the sides I got weird glitches. In TNT(Map 09) they had just such a window as I was trying to make. Turns out I just had to ad 2 extra sectors on the sides to accomplish this. Still not sure how it works, but I guess the whole sector need double sided linedefs or something. Anyways, I finally made it. Here's a screenshot of what I meant.

    I just recently switched from Windows to Solus Linux and this was indeed the issue. Solved now switching to timidity. Thanks a lot!

    Think I found the issue. I had my mods turned off and there was no more stutter. I believe it had to do with the HRRP Mod (ver 0.12). The HRRP Performance version (ver 0.13) seems to work better.

    I'm having the same issue here. I noticed it happens when it tries to load in new things. For example, I open a door and there's a new monster behind that door it freezes or stutter for a sec, once loaded in it doesn't stutter anymore.

    Not only under 64kb, also very well designed! I like the way you made those buildings. Like they look real, not like some textures. Enjoyed playing this short and interesting map that also had a little challenge to complete.

    Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough. @Kappes Buur I wanted to replace the letters with my own, with the same kind of font so it wouldn't be too obvious that the crates were changed. But I like what you've made as well. ;) I ended up editing the pixels anyways. Even with a good replica font, when scaling down you still have to edit the pixels to make it look right.

    Hi, thanks for your reply! That's really cool you can use a different palette for Doom, but as expected: Anyways, I think I have to find a way to save a range of hues from the Doom palette and convert the image to those saved hues.
