There was a city outside the mars facility in the e3 alpha, however i think that was quickly made specifically for the alpha and to only add a bit of depth to the game for visual purposes, since it was quite early development. I recon the full game will just be the mars facility, with the mars landscape being the only visible environment.

I pretty sure thats a giant eye coz i slowed down my movie to take that shoot, and i swear it blinked and has a pupil inside. But we will see, when the game comes out. But you could be right about the fireball, it was a low quality movie and you can't see much.

Don't really care about its size too much, its more mobile now, plus i love its mouth. One killer make over if i do say so myself.

I don't know why everyone h8s the revenant. I hated the thing, but thats coz of those rockets. :) But i think the rev looks class in Doom3, translucent body makes it look great. Do you think the cherubs spawn in and sit somewhere nearby, and the illusions/hallucinations only stop if you find it and kill it?

Cyber and spidermastermind, i really wanna know how the new renditions of the classic doom bosses turned out.

I think it does have one larger eye from what i remember from the video, however it seems to be constantly shut all the time... and opens on occasion, anyone else know if it has a large eye or was i seeing things? Oh wait... yep i double checked, i'm not seeing things, its big and orange. It looks like it opens from time to time to check where you are. :D I think its that slit on his head above the multiple eyes.

Yeah ive always wondered why people refer to that monster as birdman... very odd. I always assumed it was a concept monster to simply show off the engine, or was a first attempt at the imp or possibly the baron... but we will know soon enough if he's in the game at all.

Go to PlanetDoom, and look at the characters/enemies list, the caco has been posted, for all you who aint seen him yet.

The only thing i would have liked to see, would be the pain elemental making a come back, rather than having it merged with the caco. Apart from that, i'm pretty damn impressed with what ID has done.

That cherub is gonna creep me out, that scene gave me goosebumps.

Its just short of 70 meg, its a long... movie, feels like an ID software documentary, which i think is pretty enjoyable.

Wow, very nice movie, the caco looks pretty freaky and move's so smoothly. Was it me or does the caco only open its eye when it fires a fireball?

It would be silly seeing a hellknight proped up against a dead trite... because of rag doll physics.

2 gig of ram, i think that must be a misprint, you sure its not HD space, yeah even gamespot refers to 2-4 gig HD space not RAM.

Could you not draw it and post that? Give peeps a rough idea, or is that against the rules?

The disappearing effect is fantastic it's sure as hell gonna make the game smoother. Plus it will make sure bodies dont clip through objects, which i think is a great idea. If you wanna see the models so bad, just turn on notarget, i'm sure they will keep it in.

Well if ID approved it, it's doom music to me, although the nu metal sound is a bit... yuck. Would have prefered it as a pure instrumental track myself.
