Cool, i like the idea, ID did mention when demons die they go back to hell, which makes me worry when you arrive in hell, the monsters will be wanting revenge. :D Plus the disintegrating bodies will give the game more polish when dead bodies fall through the walls and stuff, since i doubt every enemy will have ragdoll physics.

We will have to see how the x-box handles the coop, i mean its not impossible, you either remove the cut-scenes or have the game simply pause when the cut-scene plays or include an extra character appearing in the cut-scene with you, that would be cool imo and probably not that difficult.

Alwell, i'll just have to read the doom 3 reviews and stuff until the 13th arrives. :(

The theme song is only a sample, sounds very rock/metal orientated something similair to what you would hear on kerrang! on sky. Only 22 seconds long though. Although it reminds me of updated doom 2 music in a way. Oh yeah... and Doomworld is in the links section second only to planet doom. Shame should be other way round.

Nowt wrong with a few edges, the more likely my pc wont stutter to death when i see a million poly imp the better. :D Plus they might give the polys to enemies that deserve it, can you say cyberpolygon demon. Sticking to topic, yes the trites look pretty class with the makeover for the final product, hope all the enemies got a good polish at the end.

Wonder if the game might sell out on release? unless Activision has shipped litterally millions!!! of copies everywhere for the big day, its happened to other games, why not one of the most highly anticipated. If i don't get my copy from amazon im not gonna be a happy guy (pre-ordered since jan 2002... a bit too early i know) but its mine muhahaha.

Nice one, better get a new pc then, i recon this review is possibily true since the doom 3 box on amazon has a qoute from PC Gamer "masterpiece of the art" so i think it's possible its been reviewed. It really doesnt matter m8y, If ID wants to make another Doom game its there choice alone, its gonna make no difference to them whether the fans like it or not aslong as they believe theyve made a good game and are satified with it.

It would be cool if the cyber rammed the player, although i doubt even with full armor etc you would survive i mean hes a mountain, which is a good excuse to keep well away from it and avoid rockets. If he did have a ram/melee attack i'd like to see him smash through solid walls if he missed you, now THAT would be a nice feature imo. Also hope they make the Spider mastermind much tougher this time round and ask for other bosses, its gonna be hard to top mr cyberdemon. Although there is meant to be a giant jurassic-like demon in there somewhere (i think its meantioned in an old IGN artical somewhere? anyone remember?)

Not many imo, the designer has done a nice job recreating these monsters, i would still have liked the lost soul to have had a skull instead of a human face but thats about it.

Yeah Quake 3 was also a bad game in my opinion, but i still dont think the Quake series is ruined for me because of it (Love Quake 2 - one of my favs of all time). Doom 3 will obviously not live up to everyones expectations but its still gonna be a good game and from what ive seen of the movies, the alpha etc, i know i'm not gonna be disappointed even if its nothing like doom 1, its still doom to me.

Yep multiplay is gonna be classic, shadow hunting, stealth with big bad weapons. Plus the lag issue will be minimal with only 4 players.

LOL you must not have read much about Doom 3 then m8, Hell has been described in loads of popular Doom 3 articles from IGN, GAMESPY etc, you have to go to Hell to get a special artifact/weapon called the soul cube to fight of the demons, but thats as much as ID are gonna give ya. I think i read somewhere that when the enemies die from normal weapons they just go back to hell and the only weapon i'm guessing can kill them is the soulcube.

I'd like to see some deceased barons of hell chained to the wall, in honour of the great cyberdemon lord when you eventually get to fight it.

Hellknight, although i will most defiently change my mind when i see them all (wonder if baron is even more menacing... scary).
