So I been enjoying the update on PC, game feels smooth and I like how I can load a wad from the console and then save my game and the port remembers to load the wad the next I open up the game. I think the only major things I want is an option to have the automap rotate and a better zoom speed when using the mouse scroll wheel for the automap.

Doom + Doom II (2024 Kex Remaster) Bug Report Thread
Rexen² replied to OpenRift's topic in Source Ports
I tested this on my switch lite and I can't get the error to appear. I'm able to pick a game and play even on a new user account. I even moved it off my micro sd card on to the system memory and I couldn't trigger the error. This bug is either rare or something else is causing it. Maybe if the switch hasn't been restarted in ages can cause it. -
That's odd because Sigil 2 was still downloaded for me.

I hope this gets fix in the future but I don't like how when browsering mods, it doesn't remember what page you are on when you exit the page for a mod.
-
Speaking of multiplayer, it seems to break after one of those plot text screens. Like you get teleported to a random spot on the map and you can't do anything but quit.
-
My only issue so far is there doesn't seem to be an option to tell the game what mic to use.
-
That's odd my download size is 3.3 gb and when I did try to launch the game before updating (I didnt notice the update right away) I got a missing executable error, but I did get options to play the original Quake 2 and the mission packs.

Quake II potential remaster to be revealed this quakecon?
Rexen² replied to Terrcraft's topic in Everything Else
Plus consoles don't have said version and not ever pc can handle ray tracing so it makes sense for them to still make an enhanced Quake 2. -
GZDoom does have a screenshot button, its the Print Screen key, this key might have "Print Screen" on it or PrtScr or something like that. Not only does this take a screenshot and saves it to your hdd/ssd but copies it to the clipboard as seen here. Note, the path is visible in the screenshot because I took two back to back. (This is also a custom path, its normally saved in the gzdoom folder). If you don't have a Print Screen key then you can bind a key to the "screenshot" command (without quotes) in the console.

Ports of classic Megawads to the Unity Port - NOW OBSOLETE
Rexen² replied to Devalaous's topic in Map Releases & Development
Well there's only one way to find out and that's to try and see what happens. I would help out more but I got my own plate full with my own projects and life but I wish you luck on getting the other wads to work -

Finally got around to testing again, it hard froze for me when I used the idclev cheat, it might be the music, maybe Unity is somehow getting hung up on the track or something like that -

I used ZBSP Normal (zero reject) and got it to work at least on my end, tested ITYTD and UV. If this has already been found out let me know as I did check the other pages but didnt noticed it been fix and I might of just missed the post, also I only tested using the map select as it was getting late for me and didnt feel like playing 5 maps to test -
Do you have any mapping gimmick trademark?
Rexen² replied to Sonikkumania's topic in Doom General Discussion
For me its usual the following: -If the player can see the outside, they most likely can get there in some way without cheating. -Texture scaling to make textures fit -Actor/Thing scaling on props for some variety -Snakeimps -UV+ support -

Question, is this so called "input lag" in docked mode? I never noticed it on the switch lite which is stuck in handheld mode and I wonder if there is a difference. Its either that or I'm too busy playing to notice a difference. -

Ah I see. I'll look into that when I get the chance. -

Since steam added support for Joy Cons I'm hoping gyro aiming can be enabled on the PC version at some point for those that want to use it. -

So basically, we have another case of map11 having two names again.... on the same map slot as well -
I been meaning to make a post but I do have a map that's been made and is in testing phase to see if I can catch any show stoppers before submitting it. Map also supports UV+ and even has one item that only appears as a result (well, playing coop as makes it appear as well) but said item even makes the sercet count go up as a result of it appearing. I do have some screenshots to share in the meantime.

The bigger issue is switch lite users only have one usb port and I don't think usb hubs work (I don't have one to test this out on -
Question, can PC users add custom crosshairs? Like say if I want a T shape one would I be able to add it?
-
I don't have a doom font at all, not in control panel or settings app.
-
I noticed the same issue on win11.

I was running insider builds of windows 11, still am (on the beta channel) and I do like the idea of running android apps. Sure right now you have to side load apps if its not on the amazon appstore (the win11 version I should say since there's not many apps) and its up in the air if the app one side loads will work, In terms of games that I tried I only got Pokemon Quest to work and it only has one graphic glitch in it (the drop shadow on numbers is off a bit). Also anything needing google play services won't work, which a lot of games use. In terms of normal apps, I got telegram and Pokemon Home to work. The best part about being able to run android apps natively means one can pin them to the taskbar and start and they get treated as their only programs (they show up in add/remove programs) and can send notifications to the action center if you choose to have Windows Subsystem for Android running in the background. There is a modded version that gets google play to work and google services but from what I understand it also installs root which might get in the way in some apps if they check for root, oh and if it updates you might have to redo the whole thing again. In terms of game performance I haven't notice any real difference but that's because I been playing mostly on my switch but when I do play a game everything seems normal but I do have a RTX 2060 and an Intel i7 inside of my laptop. If a game does have issues its usually because it wants to use the Intel GPU instead of the RTX and that tends to be an easy fix by telling it to use the RTX in the windows settings app. I do miss having the taskbar at the top (there is a registry tweak that can be done but the fact the option is gone is slightly annoying)

Seeing as I already have most of the Doom games on steam, which I brought many years ago, I don't really see the point of making a GOG account and buying them again for the same platform which in this case is Windows.
