Most disappointing game you ever played

The game I hated the most would have to be...Earth 2150. It had the potential to be allow tremendus replay value, and it came out sucking. Other than that (and maybe the SNES version of DOOM), all the other games I have played are ok. Some are great, but none have any true originality anymore. I want something new and chock-full of goddies, not something that we've seen 12,495.5 times in a row. O yeah, lets not even mention the game Postal 2...that one sucks more than thirty whores working 24/7 for six weeks!

    Doom3.com Updated

I dont like the Hellknights scream either...they left the ending part (with the low growl) but the shriek sucks. I want something that sounds bigger and meaner than me. However, I do think that it would be cool if the Hellknight screamed like that when you killed him...that would, as Cartman would say, KICKASS!
  3. **wonders if this is the first time in the doomworld forums history that someone has made 3 threads, one on top of the other...** Anyway, to answer your question, I would give the guy an arm that is basicaly a hand-turned-into-biting-thing-of-death type of thing. Basicaly, you smash it into your opponent, and it bites them to death. That simple...that goory...and that much FUN!

    1)Max Payne (Jack Slate = jackass) 2)Tom Vercetti 3)Master Cheif 4)Snake 5)007 6)Bloodrayne

    doom3.com :)

I just LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEE those ambient sounds. Espicially that wierd, beast-like noise that apparently is the sound of the HK (makes me think of a supermutant-evil T-rex...on a good day). But, alas, I tried going on ua-corp.com, but it appears the site is experiencing "technical difficulties."

    Doomguys hair cut?

What I wanna know is: Why, after knowing what a Cybie can do, does the box art of D2 suggest fighting the Cybie off with a shotgun? Or even the slighest notion that it's a good idea to fight the Cybie with anything weaker than a "Plasma Gun/Rocket Launcher/and, Hell, maybe even a Chaingun" combo?

    Marines name?

Damn. I stand corrected :( There's a lesson to be learnt today---Stupidity shows worse than an orange tan. Anyway, I really think there should'nt be a name for the Dooguy. Hell, I know no-one who's had a problem with it before, so why change it now?
  9. Sir Blastalot

    Marines name?

Um, that would be first person. 3rd person is when you are playing as a character with a name and are not seeing from their pov. 2nd is when you are playing as a character with a name and you are seeing from their pov. 1st person is the exact same thing as 2nd, execpt the character has no name.

    Marines name?

Damn skippy. BTW, I third that. So lets close this topic before the guys in white suits come and try to steal me away to their secret lab agian.

    What's [sic] mean?

This is probably a better definition from the same webpage that Fredrik provided:

what is your most favorite weapon in doom?

My favorite weapon is the incredible, edible chainsaw. Too bad there isn't a Sawrocket! Rocket Launcher + Chainsaw = SawRocket! Not only does it saw thorugh enemies, but after 2-3 seconds of sawing, it BLOWS UP! Anyway, their's just something about the chainsaw that's...satisfying. I mean, what could be better than making Demon-Spaghetti?

    Holy War!

I agree. Society may pressure us, yes, and we may do it. But it's our decision. And who could forget the fact that we are society? Our decisions are like ripples in a pond: the world is the surface, and what we do changes the shape of it. We decide what society thinks is "hot" or "not". Anyway, getting back to the subject, I believe that God used evolution so that it would fit the scientific rules. All things are explainable-you just need enough information. However, I think that by limiting us into this level of exsistance (and therefore limiting us to the laws of science) caused us to gain the ability of free will. This was interpreted by the ones who wrote the Bible as the "Serpant," but it is nothing more than the restraints that God put in this universe so that it would function. And, to those who say He planned things, I doubt he would make a universe just for us if he didn't want other beings for us to share it with (it is the golden rule; do unto others as you want done unto you, aka meaning share!). I just think that because of this, there was an error that He could have changed, but I probablly would have meant the destruction of what was there. God loved what he made, and most likely didnt want to have to recreate all he made. Now, for something new. I have always wondered why God had to rest on the seventh day? Im sure creating a universe is tireing, but if he is perfect he would not have strained himself or done things to "tire" him out. And 2, He's God! It would be impossible for something (or someone) like Him to become tired. Dont like what I said? Post your complaint. Im just speaking my mind.

    Holy War!

Im sorry. Its my fault for your misunderstanding of what I have said. What I meant to say was that I wouldnt just rip theories out of books and such and believe them wholeheartedly. I rather read alot of those books, then ponder about the things they bring up, the differences between them, and the similarites between them. Then I add my own ideas and thoughts to the mix, and then edit the new theory untill it is in it's final draft. Except im constantly editing it, adding new ideas, new thoughts. Just as everyone else in this disscussion should be.

Ouch. That was colder than a bologna sandwich in the freezer in the polar ice caps!

    Holy War!

Ive been reading, and it seems that people are actually beginning to formulate their own theories. Unlike some people I know (not just here, mind you), you guys are taking things you have thought about and have fit thim into your imagination, and allowed the possibilities flow. Just as I said: Im not getting my theories from easy-to-read books and crap like that (Bible may be easy-to-read, but I it isn't crap). I get the theories in my head, and I think about them to the point there is one big conclusion. Unfortunatly, there are still people who believe the answer lies within a book. Do yourselves a favor: join a cult. You'll be with people like you. Anyway, enough with the flaming. Interesting stuff...this makes me think...what if, someday, we will be able to contact God through technology? Or through other means? Will we understand Him? Will we even know it's Him? Or will our brains explode? Another thing: If God created us in his image, then that means he looks like us, right? Does that mean he thinks like us, and acts like us? Is he as curious about us as we are him? Or, is he like some lazy people, and he just doesnt give a lawyers-ass-in-he||? I'd like you people to ponder that for a moment...and come up with your own answers.

    Holy War!

Well, I cant find the damn thing, and I dont have time to read. And besides, I chose what I believe in. I may disagree on some things with the "Breif history of time." I want to find my own answers, not get them handed to me in an easy-to-read format, like some books I know that are full of crap.

    Holy War!

I stated my opinion before, but I'll state it agian. GOD exsists. Everything needs something to begin with. Time didnt just start up, nor the universe. God said "let there be light" and because he said that, a chain reaction occured that cause the formation of all light. For example, Him just saying "let there be man" could have caused a simple, single-celled organism to mutate and, even thought thousands of years had to pass before its offspring became modern humans, to Him it was a mere instant. God works outside of time, and it's possible the guys who wrote the Bible didnt think about that part. God knows what we will do if we follow his religion, but I think he's now curious as to what we do if we DONT follow him. Thats why he's become so laid back. His "sucessful faiure" now interests him, and he wants to wait. Thats my theory. But it's just that; just a theory. Debate all you like.

    What's most important!

Man...I hope I dont get that far off...and yeah Im one of those social rejects, the people who are just too damn wierd to hang out with. Maybe that explains the fact that I like the Post Hell...I just like the guy screaming to death...and the guitar...te hehe...haha...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! B) Im such a dork... Okay, Im gonna get on the current off-topic topic. Whatever that means. I beleive that what yall guys have said are true. You dont need a religion to believe in God and do thing for Him and praise Him. I believe in Him, but that doesnt mean I must sacrifice my imagination and open mind because religion says so. I think that we've gone so far, that He want's to see what we'll make of ourselves, how we live our own lives without the restrictions of religion. Thats what I think.

Am I the only one that heard of...

I was vaugly aware of this, due to the fact that when I heard of it, it was about time for me to get on the bus and all I heard from the TV was "China launched its first shuttle into space" and I saw the shuttle lifting off and all that crap. Didnt get any details, though.

    What's most important!

I cannot chose any of them, but I believe love would be the highest ranking member. After all, when you've never had a g/f in your life and your in 10th grade, love kinda doesnt matter anymore on the outside. But, since there isnt the option of insanity to choose from, I would either go with love, happinies, or meditation. Meditation provides answers, love provides completeness, and happiness provides refreshments to the soul. I have spoken, and no-one careth.

    Some simple questions...

I have some questions about DOOM for the SNES and DOOM II. I was wondering if there were any differences between it and the PC/PSone versions. Also, did DOOM II come out for the PC only, or was it released one another platform/console?
