Yes, yes, the good news is a new gun, but the bad news it also didn't work properly when I test-fired it :( So I took it back, they're repairing it for free. It was jamming every 8th round. Anyway, they'll gimme a call when it's up and running again. I did manage to take some pics of it before I test-fired it.
It's a Yugoslavian 59/66 SKS, semi-automatic 7.62x39 carbine, fixed 10 round magazine. The sucker on the end is a Goddamn grenade launcher, shoots standard 22mm NATO rifle grenades ;-P It also has a folding bayonet.
Though it's Yugoslavian-made, the SKS is Russian-designed, thus I have an example of all three of the most widely-fielded Russian-designed arms in the world, the Mosin-Nagant (top), SKS (middle) and AK (bottom).
The SKS and AK-47 I have share the same 7.62x39 ammunition, but the design is completely different from the AK-47. I can't wait to get it back and in working condition.

Nice collection! Do you compete in sport shooting or go hunting?
I used to be rad at Free Pistol target shooting.
I mostly just own guns for plinking and because I like the engineering behind firearms. They're interesting machines, they have shaped the face of the world, for better and worse, they have gained independence for people across the world and maintain peace in nations across this globe.
