SomeToast

In my WAD, I want some items to trigger a custom sprite animation. For example, if you were to pick up a megasphere, your hand would come up and crush the megasphere. I have absolutely no idea how to do this and there are no tutorials that achieve what I describe. Is this even possible? Sorry if I come off as ignorant, kinda new to asking questions on Doomworld.
