    [RC5] EVITERNITY II - RC5 Released!

    WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVITERNITY 2????? WE JUST HAD SIGIL 2. AM I DEAD? HAVE I GONE TO DOOM HEAVEN??? I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS REAL AND IM HALF A WEEK LATE?! Either I'm living under a rock or this just hasn't gotten the attention it very much deserves???? I have to play it right now oh my god

  3. Alright, I think I'm ready to ship this baby out. Unless there are major game-breaking bugs experienced, or there are formatting mistakes I forgot to fix in Slade*, I believe my entry is suitable for submission. With that said, here is my entry info: Map name: Paradise up above IWAD: DOOMII Format: Boom V2.02 compatible (I suggest using GLBoom+ or ZDoom derived ports, it's a little buggy in software mode) Playtime: about 30 minutes Lots of textures lifted from Eviternity/OTEX CHIC, GOLD, WHITE textures by Dragonfly Sky texture, sand, and a few other resources taken from Ray Mohawk 2 Much of the flora taken from Lost Civilization by Jaska SCREENSHOTS ARE ALREADY IN THIS THREAD BUT I WILL REPOST REGARDLESS! Download: Paradise up above.zip * @Obsidian If textures need to be more clearly organized and named, I will do so, even if it means completely retexturing my map.   4. @Dewzan amazing! Thank you so much for looking around for softlocks and stuff, with a map this open it'd be nearly impossible for me to get all of them on my own (in good time that is). I'm incredibly thankful for your playtesting, and I'm glad you enjoyed the map :)
  5. Woof. It's been a doozy, but I'm almost done! Just some kinks to iron out for visuals sake and I'm about ready to fully submit the map. If I could ask a favor of anyone in this thread, I could use some play testers to give the level a go and relay any bugs you found to me in whatever source port you're using (I'd specifically like to know how it runs on WOOF), as well as what you think of the map! :) I've fully tested this level with GZDoom and PRBoom+ on every skill, and it's functional in both ports. However, on PRBoom+, I've found some visual bugs pertaining to my use of invisible bridges. Notably, there are two invisible bridge sections that disregard the sector trickery and present as unfinished, untextured walkways in PRBoom+ and I'm not quite sure how to fix it. Maybe it has something to do with the length of said bridges? If anyone here wants to take a look and try to help, it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.     Tantrums when playing Doom

    I don't think I've ever had a full-blown tantrum playing Doom, though I have played levels that pissed me off and caused me to spew profanities as if the little pixelated monsters could hear me lol. Most of the time I just disengage if I'm getting upset at what in playing because it's not worth getting super cranky over. So maybe the next time those aracnorbs start fucking with you and calling you names, just esc+q+y and come back later when you're in a better headspace. Certainly do not destroy your expensive equipment over it!

  11. I played Fallout Shelter once, back in like 2016. Don't remember anything about it.
  12. Nah, never payed a dime. Never even considered it. They just handed out coins in droves during the early access. All of that money was from grinding and getting bonuses.
  13. Huh. This thread went in a weird direction. I'm ND and personally don't care too much about cosmetics in games, especially if they have a paywall. Think I only ever spent money on cosmetics in halo infinite when that first came out but that's probably it. Anywho, the state if mobile gaming is shameful and disgusting and is meant to urk the monkey part of our brains into wanting to spend money on conveniences that have no right to be as expensive as they are or even worth real world currency at all. That being said, I don't think mighty doom is that bad. Maybe the microtransactions are intrusive, but I don't give a shit about anything they're peddling so not really that important to me. As you can see in the screenshots, I'm unreasonably wealthy in the game so that probably also plays a part, as I'm sure leveling your stats up is much more painful and slow when you're at the regular pace, but I had a lot of spare time on my hands in 2021 and for some reason spent a good amount of that time playing this game while it was early access. TL;DR this game is alright and the microtransactions aren't bugging me
  14. dont really know about the greater community, but i like it. its a fine mobile game and works for when you want to play something on the toilet lol.
  15. I just booted up mighty doom and found new quake 2 based cosmetics in the season pass. I've seen plenty of speculation about a quake 2 remaster being revealed at quakecon this year and while these cosmetics don't CONFIRM a remaster of quake 2, it sure does feel like they're hinting at it. But hey, what do I know. Anyways, here's some screenshots for those interested:
