Soaked in Blood - An Ultimate Doom Episode 1 Replacement [Now on Idgames!]
T.Will posted a topic in WAD Releases & Development
A TWID-esque Ultimate Doom episode replacement, SOAKED IN BLOOD! It's a vanilla mapset in the style of Knee-Deep in the Dead with some modern twists. Ultra-Violence is the preferred difficulty though feel free to pick what suits your skills. Co-op and deathmatch are also available to play. Have fun! The Story: It's been centuries since the days of Hell on Earth, and now no one remembers it. However, the People of the World's Social Union has found the abandoned Phobos base of the dismantled UAC. With current "labor shortages" withstanding, you have been sent in as the only person to clean up the base and help institute the People's Base of Phobos. What could go wrong? Screenshots Name: Soaked in Blood Map Format: Vanilla Doom Ports Tested: Chocolate Doom 3.0.1, Crispy Doom 5.10.1, PrBoom+ 2.6um GZDoom 4.5.0. Soaked in Blood - An Ultimate Doom Episode 1 Replacement [Now on Idgames!]

I’m really glad you enjoyed this set. This wad feels so long ago with all I’ve improved on in my maps. Either way it’s amazing this wad is still creating fun moments for many. -
I believe the parameter will only affect complevels 9 and above.
-
#1 Translucent walls are a Boom feature (CL9 and onwards). They are an action special set in the map. However setting the translucency percentage to 100 disables the effect. #2 Not on linux so I can't help you there :(

Thanks for the Pagodia shoutout. It was fun to try and figure out how to make the katakana look good.

Do you possibly have anything in the autoload folder? If so, try running the -noautoload parameter for Crispy.

The wait is well worth it.

🍦 BIG Vanilla Doom Wad Pack! REV. 16 - May 24th, 2022 [Maximum Doom the way 'Kid Did]
T.Will replied to Doomkid's topic in WAD Discussion
I made a vanilla Doom 1 wad at the end of July called Soaked in Blood. Sorry if this seems like self promotion. -
Gave this a spin and really like it! I can see this speeding up the process of UMAPINFO creation and will definitely use this in the future. I did notice an oddity where if I change the exit from an endgame to a normal exit, the endgame command still remains. Not a big deal, but can be a trip-up if someone's not paying attention. If I could make some suggestions, I think adding options in the Boss Action menu for common Boss Actions like "use MAP07 Special" would add to the ease of use. Again, great work on this tool!

Try to recreate Doom 2 from memory! (Finished)
T.Will replied to Engired's topic in WAD Releases & Development
Thanks for the feedback. Here's the new version to fix some of the mentioned issues. Barrels_o_Fun_v2.zip I realize there are a couple of enemies I added that probably weren't in the original, but they do add some variety to the map. I'm tempted to keep them unless asked otherwise. The two stuck pinkies were a deliberate homage to Sandy. -

Primary PrBoom+. I haven’t used DSDA too much, but I lumped them together because they’re in the same family.
