Why hasn't Pulp caught on over here? It's a pain in the ass trying to find their music without ordering it on-line.

personaly i was never into dating. i did a few times but nothing ever really came of it.
i did have girls i had crushes on. one of them for the longest time. however i never acted on it. recent girls just didn't have any appeal to them.

however that all changed last week. I had been trying an internet dateing site. i figured it was worth a shot. little did i know i would meet a really nice girl.

now i know its far too early to say she is the love of my life, but i really feel something with her. I love being around her, talking to her, feeling her embrace, her smile, her eyes. its as if i have known her for a very long time. she says she feels the same towards me.

it all happened so fast, however it feels good. i feel good about her and i feel as if i can trust her. something that has always been difficult for me to do. however my gut instinct is usally right.

its proof to me that there are still good people out there. it makes me feel so much better about my self. i am really begining to get to know her, but like i said it feels as if i have known her for years.

After my car, an '88 Acura Integra, crapped out on me last Friday, I got it towed to a repair place to get a diagnostic run on it. It seems that the ignition fried which in turn blew the distributor and now both need to be replaced at the cost of $400. Kinda sucky when you consider that I bought the car 2 and a half weeks ago for $300 (though it's actually worth about $500-600). Oh well, crap happens, especially with older cars.

So I've been talking with my friends lately(who happen to be really hot girls) and almost every single one of them says that they're ugly and fat. Hell they're skinnier than me and don't look fat at all, not to mention look really hot too. However this does lean on the good side cause this somewhat make them want a guy badly sometimes and who would be better for the job?(Ok so I lied, but I wouldn't be a jerk off during that period) All in all I really think that they are just way too self conscious about themselves and don't realize that they look good and should be proud of it. Who's with me?

Thanks to this place, I've learned the wonders of Heh and Impse. In addition, I've also met 'tards like Doomaddict, had a good laugh or two at the "political discussions" at EE and learned a shitmore about Doom in general that anybody should really ever know about an 11 year old game. Recently, I've been more and more addicted to demos (thanks to Compet-N and the demos fourm) and I'm (eventually) going to watch the Vile Flesh Demo pack. :P I've also had a large interest in Doom 2 DM, mainly because of how friendly the community is compared to the Halo 2, CS or UT 2004 ones.

My Doom history: I was an avid Doomer at the wee age of four. Occasionally I played games like Duke 3D, Heretic or ROTT, but I was a still a Doomer at heart. Once Quake came, I was one of the may who migrated and didn't look back. I became addicted to Quake (and eventaully Quake 2) DM and was very good for a kid my age (I was offered about 3 or so times to join clans, though they were probably garbage), even though I played SP in God mode. Once Half Life came out, I dropped out of the FPS community completly. Around September 2003, I became interested in Doom becasue of Doom 3 and began to reasearch it. Eventually, I purchased Doom 2 at CompUSA for $10 and registered here. Yay?

Woot, my laptop went belly-up.

Apparently i got a virus last night and now windows does not load at all. It boots to the safemode/normal mode/command prompt menu and every option just restarts the comp. It has to do with five files on the comp, which are listed with a bunch of other crap, but then it reboots. I can't even get to the bios config either.

Also, I dont have the windows installation cds either because the os came with the laptop preinstalled. fucking yay. o_O

Note: the laptop does NOT have a floppy drive, and i dont have an external drive either, so boot floppies wont work.

never done it until this weekend.

basicly it is taking a laptop, or PDA and listening for wireless networks.

i did this going up and coming back from my grandparents home. too bad i dont have a gps.

things i learned
about 75% of these networks were not encrypted.
channels 6 and 11 are the most popular.
83% of them used default SSID's
netgear was the most popular, fallowed by linksys, cisco and PCX500. D-link and microsoft were rare.
the most popular speed was 11mbps and 22mbps. very few 54g and no detected 108g connections.

I live in Wisconsin, a proud state, a fucking cold state. We the proudest state of alcoholic beverages, very proud of our Badger(and Packer- I dispise the Packers though) team and proud of our farms. But on the back of our new quater coins piss me off, makes us look... it pisses me off too much to think of the word. A cow, a stalk of corn, and a block of cheese- FUCKING DISGUSTING! Put a fucking can of beer on there or a badger head- but hey at least they didn't put a G on the back, or Brett Favre for that fact. It hit me earlier, and the more I think about it, the more I know the answer. Is there anyone real out there anymore, or is everyone just part of some following? Are there any real people out there anymore. The ones who don't go around with some gimmick they've attached to just because it looks cool at the time, while it slowly fades away and a new one forms so they'll always have a place to belong? Think about it. You know the answer. No, there isn't. Okay, so maybe there's a rare few (a few, when in comparison to the world, keep in mind, can mean several) that are, but otherwise, no. It's sickening to me. As an artistic person, an individual, a unique individual, different from everyone else in the fact that every person is born unique, that someone would want to conform and people have to survive socially by clinging to groups that they claim they like or are cool. Why not just be ourselves? Is it because people are that boring, that they feel the need to continuously reject their own uniqueness in order to belong? Are humans really pathetic enough that they can't have a social life without this? Seriously. Think about it. Think of the people around you, that you know. Think about yourself. Do you have your own meanings, your own set of things that you stand for, or are your morals and standards merely a carbon-copy of a thousand other people's that belong in the same clique as you? It's a crime if the answer is yes, because you know what? It changes you. And I've seen it happen several times over. You change who you are subtly until you're something you're not, and then you don't even realize it because you can't see it through other people's eyes. It's one thing to share the same ideal as someone else does, to stand on common grounds, it's another thing to conform to eachother or a group throwing away your real personality in order to be completely part of that clique. People that do this, to be blunt sicken me. And you probably do, too.

Yesterday afternoon, my girlfriend broke up with me after 2 weeks. She said I had nothing to do with it, there wasn't anybody she liked more or anything like that. Just in her own words said "I don't think the relationship is gonna go anywhere". Well slap my ass and call me Charlie, she's always at the damn beachhouse in Melbourne with her parents, and never bothers to argue to stay home or something. What the hell do you expect in 2 weeks, especially when your 30 miles away from me doing nothing but being bored instead of trying to stay here with me. At first if anyone remembers my I hate my life thread, I saw dating a different way at the time. Now it's just having a friend with special benefits and isn't a big deal at all. But I should've of listened to all the pro's around here about bad relationships in High School. This fucking sucks.
