ok.

so i came across this job ad titled 'game designer'. and so i checks it out. surprisingly, they're not asking for much. it says this at one point:

"MUST show that you have experience in PC Game Design and development such as modifications,custom levels, replacement models, improved sound, etc"

ok this is going to sound lame but.... do you think Doom mods would count?? :( i've done a few of em in my time.

they have all different types of positions available. one is being the dude who makes sounds. now, i wouldnt think making sounds for doom would be that different to making sounds for any other game mod. or am i wrong?

anyway do you think i'd have a chance in shit in getting into it? :( i'm thinking 'no', but i spose theres a possibility. maybe?

It's January 27th again. I am twenty-one years old now.

Ex-girlfriend is found out to be clinically mentally ill (nothing new but shocking nonetheless), besides suffering from anemia.

Had two midterm exams (Databases and Mathematical Analysis 3). Had to not go to the MA3 one (which I've been leaving behind for two school years now) because I didn't have time to study for it. Four down, four more to go (plus whatever I might have to repeat seeing as there aren't any grades out yet). Three assignments to be completed (a report on Databases, another on Graphics Programming and the whole of Distributed Systems).

Got mugged, lost my (only three month old) cellphone.

Life kicks ass, though.

Just a few moments ago, I stuffed my mouth with a handful of sunflower seeds, only to bite into one that was rotten. I'm not sure how to describe to describe it, but the first thing that tipped me off that it was rotten was how brittle the shell was, followed by an extremely disgusting, bitter taste. I couldn't quite spit it out fast enough, so the bitter flavor lingered for a while. Fortunately, the other seeds, which are all good, have washed away the taste. This is not something I would like to do again, but it's bound to happen considering how many sunflower seeds I eat.

This got me thinking, however. I'm now curious about some of the horrible things your taste buds have experienced. So, what are some of the more disgusting things you've ever tasted, eaten, or bitten into, on accident or not?

Janderson, I ignored your advice and behaved like a dick. I am sorry for the way I treated you and argued with you. We have started off on the wrong foot but not all hope is lost. I am really 17 but I don't seem to have such a great understanding of sarcasm. And you are right. I do take things too literally. I made a fool out of myself and I kept making an even bigger fool out of myself. I behaved like a 9 year old. I hope, and I'm sure that nothing like this will happen again in the future.

With foreverhood freshly updated, it is time now to get a response from you, the people who care. Would you rather watch foreverhood progress into one final piece or have a small piece of the mod to occupy yourselves with?

I know the immediate question is "how long would we wait before the final thing came together"? Well, I’m not exactly sure. I've decided to change gears to a simpler story which relies less on objectives and more on killing stuff (classic doom formula) so all that is left to do is build the remainder to the areas which game-play would take you toward. Grubber has done us all a great justice with his terrain generator so I can't wait to put it into use. I've found a way to combine open valleys with caves to create a playable dynamic for the main "last level" i would need. About 80% of the texture material has already been made so it wouldn't take more than a few months. I'm shooting for early September for my next large build.

On the other hand, the beta might take up to a month to iron out and fix. My biggest issue right now is sounds. I overhauled the doom IWAD so foreverhood is now a free game, however in the process all the default sounds I was using from doom are now gone. Drat.

So, in the call for beta testers, I’m also hoping to perhaps lure in a few people to see if their interested in cleaning things up with me, like the scripting, the dialog, the sound issue perhaps... maybe the skeleton of a buddy system to keep me motivated enough to finish this thing. Perhaps I’ll even *shutters* IRC.

So vote, post, whatever. In the meantime, I have much to plan.

Note to self: when in a supermarket, never ever piss of the elderly even if you are just joking around. Read before I explain why below:

Me and my friend Mike were at the Publix while my mom was shopping around, and I suggested that I should go up to some random guy and say "Dad, is that you?" so we point out some old guy, looked like he was 50, looked kinda tough. I say it to him, he looks at me and walks away. At this point I yell "Dad wait dont leave me!" Biggest mistake I've ever made. The guy gets in my face with his New York accent and says "you wanna fuck with me buddy cause I'll punch you though the fucking roof you got me?" and being the smartass I am, I curled up in a ball on the ground and yelled "NO DADDY NO!"
He uh, had a very short temper and was about ready to hit me before one of the managers came by and asked what was wrong. Funny, but also scary at the same time.

Yeah i'm 22 but whatever. It's another year closer to death, blah, blah, blah. and it was shitty day to boot

Yesterday, I e-mailed a girl in my Teacher Education class about her final presentation. She had accidentally placed it in the public folder for everyone in the class to see. I wrote her and told her it was accidnetally in there...

Never in 23 years has anyone used the world "lol" in an email towards me. What's more bizarre is that in class, she's a rather bright woman who speaks quite fluently.

After recently having a conversation with my friend Laura, I have realized that my primary purpose in life is to help and protect the loved ones around me whether it be friends or family members. She trusts me in all honesty and feels that it is my purpose and goal in life, and knows that I will always be there for her. I don't even know why I posted this, I'm just in a good mood since my girlfriend recieved news she was able to go back to school tomorrow.

Why does booger consistency vary between nostrils?

I noticed this when taking a shower. Every morning, I take a few seconds to blow out any unnecessary blockage by forcing air out of my nose. The right nostril always produces snot in convenient chunks-- but the left one always has the runny, sticky stuff that I could try blowing out for hours to no avail. There's always that little bit left that I could try picking out with my finger... if I thought that I'd actually manage to get that final glob out before I break the cavity wall and get a nosebleed.

I'm going to ponder this for the rest of my life.
