I didn't mean that I'm not too hard to please in general, rather compared to DWers... ehh, whatever.

When I watched that first wrack trailer, I really didn't see anything I could point out as bad, at least not until I can play it myself.

The weapons seem pretty interesting, the enemies seem good as well, and I love the music, but these levels feel far too constrained and linear. This feels more like it's trying to be an extremely simplified arcade-like shooter than any sort of more sophisticated gameplay design.

I don't really know what I could say regarding how it could be improved, other than maybe find a mapper that can create more interesting designs.

I'd totally buy this, but the default level design makes me think twice about doing that. Dunno what the user-made content will be like, but to me, user-made content isn't a good excuse for getting a game if the core game is kinda meh.

Well, I've improved E1M2 quite a bit since that initial video based on the feedback. Keep in mind that this is an alpha and things are always improving. Part of what's nice about this is that I have a chance to get this out there, see what people think, and if necessary, improve things. It would certainly be great if we could find some better mappers as well! :)
