The weirdest looking map so far, and most intriguing. Kinda hard to imagine it with monsters and ammo. Can't wait to play it =)

Gotta be Alley Cat (1984). Back in 1993, on my first ever PC, which I only had for a year.

Paul Romero & orchestra playing HoMM2-3 music a few years go. It was fantastic.

My 4-year old daughter likes to come and watch, but we're not killing demons, we're "destroying robots". And I tend to turn away after firing rockets. These days we're playing Might and Magic 6 before sleep, she likes to press the attack button, especially when fighting goblins. A green goblin is one of her favourite toys. She is not familiar with the concepts of death and religion yet.

Had a goatie since 20, sometimes I get annoyed with and shave it off, but my face looks too stupid roundish without it.

Russia (well, used to be until recently).

What is that one Doom level that you love but everyone else hates.
BCHQ replied to StarSpun5000's topic in Doom General
Hell Beneath and Perfect Hatred are disliked? They're about the only levels in DOOM1 I really love, 5/5. Barrels O' Fun are nothing but fun. The Chasm is king. Nirvana is a meh rush job, but not *that* horrible. -
If you were a monster in a map, where would you be placed?
BCHQ replied to Alper002's topic in Doom General
You start a map and there is a berserk in front of you. You pick it up with an evil grin, open the nearest door and smash the surprised zombieman behind it to tasty meaty gibs before it even can say "HUH?" That's me. Or maybe I'm the Mancubian candidate - old, fat, trapped alone on a bloody rock, and hoping that the doomguy won't kill me until the very last minute. -
Which of The Following Weapons do You Use The Least?
BCHQ replied to Jacek Bourne's topic in Doom General
Definitely Shotgun. I still have nightmares from shotgunning barons in Doom 1. I mostly use it for Imps, prefer chaingun for general sniping, and the rest gets plenty of use (I gravitate towards harder wads where BFG is common). -
Yes, Sunder won't waste your time with stupid secrets. No more wall-humping. Except the passage to MAP31, but it's a very simple one.

Still gives me shivers a few decades later. Never played quests, but this theme is great. If Summoning wrote game OSTs. Also, shoutouts to Red Alert 1 and Warcraft 2.

He’s already here, and has been for a while.

What is the best selling point for your favorite source port?
BCHQ replied to MoreMending's topic in Doom General
GZDoom because it counts ALL monsters! The main reason why I’m not on PrBoom fulltime and use it only for Sunder and such. -

Apparently Mock and Lilith have been dating for a while... -
Jason zombies in MAYhem 2019 are a ton of fun. Very fast (same as you) melee enemies with chainsaws that make you run around like crazy, make any battle chaotic as hell, wish more wads used them. Astral cacodemons from Eviternity are veery creepy and veery cool. Hive mother from Sunder, as ridiculous and lethal as Sunder itself. And +1 to Suicide bombers, less urgent than the Jasons, but way more hilarious.

V60, Kenya, just black with nothing else added. My daily morning ritual.

Just don’t call any future maps Winds of Winter, aight? :D Looks great, a fitting continuation of Map19!

Oh boy. Another super beautiful megawad that's gonna kill the shit outta me. Looking forward to it!

Is it just me, or does Heretic seem a bit amatuerish when compared to Doom 2 and Hexen?
BCHQ replied to Dusty_Rhodes's topic in Doom General
My main problem with Heretic is that I have zero emotional connection with both the world and its inhabitants (monsters), unlike Doom and Hexen. Maybe the said cartoonishness is a partial factor in this, but the game feels just cold. (Mostly) lackluster weapons don’t help either. And I was a huge fantasy nut in the 90’s, so thematically it should have been exactly my cup of tea. Hexen, on the other hand, is practically a masterpiece, let down only by a small and repetitive bestiary (and fucking centaurs). -
What fictional dystopia would you want to live in?
BCHQ replied to Artman2004's topic in Everything Else
Bioshock Infinite for the views, or Mad Max for vitamin D. Speaking of which, I was very fond of the Dark Sun world too back in the day. -
Playing through Punish2.wad 28 years after making it
BCHQ replied to DCasali's topic in Doom General
Not gonna lie, when you died to the first chaingunner and groaned, I laughed. Welcome back! -
In Doom, none really. Cybie introduction Tower of Babel was scary, but it's more of a moment than the monster himself. I truly dreaded Parasites in Quake 2 (Hi, body horror!). Being chased by Shamblers in some Q1E4 maps was pretty terrifying too. Never played Dead Space, I'm a nervous wreck enough as it is :) even Doom 3 is too much for me these days. Oh, and I also VERY carefully avoid Barnacles.
