    I’ve been working on a big map called Crumbling Castles. Been working on it since last Summer, and it is nowhere near complete.

    I think OP's speaking from a place of frustration, and I completely understand that. We've all been there and we all had to start from scratch... but for its quirks, UDB is an extremely versatile and easy to pick-up tool. Not to mention very active support - seems like every day there's a new handful of fixes. OP: spend more than 5 minutes with it, break through the frustration barrier, and come out the other end super pumped that you have the power to make Doom maps whenever you want.

    Wow really? My humblest apologies. It was included in Jimmy's midi's zip file I got from his site. I'll see if @DavidN can allow one more modification to correct that. Also, is there a place I can check out any other midi's you've made? This track was really great. EDIT: I just found it in my files. It's listed as D_Ultima from Freedoom2.

  13. I’ll echo ShallowB by also saying it’s been an honor and a privilege to be involved in such an amazing endeavor. David has been a not only a zealous champion of first-timers and grizzled mapping veterans alike, but also a mod-scene pioneer with the patience of a saint. The RAMP map uploader front-end he built, and his 60 YouTube videos where he played through EVERY SINGLE MAP at least once, are testament to how fully committed he was to make RAMP the absolute best All-Comers Mapping Project it could be. Also this project has brought me in contact with so many other super passionate mappers it makes me far too giddy to think about. From the intensely detailed conversations we all had about doing something crazy in Zscript, to the sharing of cool visual tricks we learned, and to the collaboration Discord streams we used to help each other build our maps and realize our visions. It was such a positive collaboration between like-minded peers who all were in it to add collective enjoyment for everyone. I sincerely hope we do this again some time. A heartfelt thankyou to absolutely everyone involved.

    Im glad you’re enjoying it! ive made 6 maps in total, and all are available in the latest RAMP beta 1.2 http://ramp.teamouse.net The hub level has a computer that tells you how to get to each map. My maps are: Lazlo’s Baby Map for Babies corruption 1: Corruption Begins corruption 2: Factory corruption 3: Nexus Meat Machine Die Tuefelsmaschine the first 4 are tech-base styled with the default texture set. the last 2 are more diverse. one cool thing is that the Ramp pk3 has all the textures and animations for all the maps built-in, so you don’t need to line them up in your ini. There are a ton of great maps in there, but I strongly recommend Neoplasm by LordEntr0py.

    Yep - as the info at the top states, you’ll need texture packs cc4-tex and OTEX 1.1, in that order I think.

    Oh also, when playing my maps, I always recommend using Vulkan rendering in GZDoom. Software rendering will result in bad visuals, and some extremely dark areas.

    Having watched through the playthrough’s, it appears the version of the wad uploaded here is ooooold. the CyberDemon has to be killed to lower the barrier and allow you access back to the bridge room and the exit. in the build you played here i didn’t put enough ammo around the area to allow for a CyberDemon kill.

  23. The sheer number and variety of maps in RAMP is incredible. You’ll have a blast making your way through all of them. 6 of my maps are in there, but I’ve been holding off committing to a playthrough until it was done. I’m as excited as you are - probably more so, since I’ve seen quite a bit of what’s in there.
  24. You were actually playing an older version of that map. The final area was changed completely. I believe the final version has been uploaded and is available in the newest snapshot. map author is AnthonyTankHD.
  25. We are just about out of time now, however. Content locking kicked in on 7/6. Bug Fixes get locked in today.
